Agree. Did he have a complete removal at the first diagnosis? The drugs and drinking certainly didn't help. But it sounds as if he had the aggressive form from the start.
@ga65893 жыл бұрын
My husband was diagnosed with inoperable stage 4 prostate cancer last spring. (Not the rare kind Tesh has.) There were suspcious tiny lung nodules as well as mets to abdominal lymph nodes, no bone mets. His Mayo doctors have him on hormone therapy (Lupron/Abiraterone), and he had 26 rounds of radiation to the prostate and affected nodes. His PSA has dropped to near zero and his scans look good. This is not a cure, but a remission of sorts. He will have to stay on the hormone therapy until it stops working and PSA levels start rising. This could be years, we just don't know. When this happens, he'll need new scans and likely chemo. Recent research shows many new and promising treatments for advanced disease that add years to survival.

I take great objection to his statement that “as a cancer patient you can get any and all pain medication you need”. This is just blatantly wrong. 3 family members have been diagnosed with cancer in the last 4 years. In each case their so-called care teams required something called a pain contract which RESTRICTED their access to the medication needed. Mr Tesh needs to check his facts before making such comments. Perhaps if you have the money you can make this happen but not if you don’t. Shame on GMA for even airing this segment.

"God wanted me well." If god is all-powerful, why did he let you get cancer to begins with? If he could have stopped the cancer, if he has the power to heal, but doesn't, that doesn't make him loving, it makes him a psychopath.
@ga65893 жыл бұрын
If you had a loved one facing a terminal illness, would you say that to their face? Whatever you or I think about God is quite irrelevant when it involves someone else. As far as I'm concerned, whatever spiritual path a person takes to help them through something like this is up to them and it's not my place to convince them of anything different.

Says someone who obviously doesn’t understand the sovereignty of the Almighty… and by the way we live in a fallen world if you haven’t noticed, God allows rain to fall on the just and the unjust equally Matt 5:45. Believe that your attitude determines your outcome. Life and death are in the power of the tongue most definitely.
@EllEss3313 жыл бұрын
@@cdt2879 I see no verifiable or irrefutable evidence that any "Almighty" exists; none whatsoever. Therefore, there is no sovereignty to be understood. Why did you choose to attach yourself to such a belief? Have you fact-checked your beliefs, lately? What evidence have you found to support your beliefs? Does it matter to you whether your beliefs are actually true or not? I would think it would matter to you...

@EllEss3313 жыл бұрын
@@cdt2879 I appreciate you taking the time to answer. There is nothing that links everything around us to any God. Nature is not evidence of "God" & it's an illogical assumption. Faith is the excuse used to believe anything you want & is not a path to truth. Is there anything that one couldn’t believe based on faith? I could say I have faith I'm going to get a million dollars or I have faith the world is going to stop spinning. Faith is wishful thinking, at best. I was in your shoes for 50 years, born & raised, rec'd my minister's license & served my church & community for many years. That is, until I had a sort of Paul experience; you know, like the one he had on his way to Damascus? But, here's the kicker. Instead of a conversion like Paul, I was totally de-converted! Funny how beliefs can change when one searches for actual facts, proof & evidence to support prior beliefs.

To believe that God does and to take Scripture texts out-of-context and twist them to say otherwise is folly. The old’ “name it & claim it” message is not truth. I hope John and Connie’s “faith” don’t get their hopes up only to dash them to despair. 😳

Believe whatever works for you and afford others the same courtesy. The bickering and fault-finding about doctrine that goes on among so-called Christians is what drove me away from any organized church.
