@@nasticanasta What heresy? The picture of The Virgin holding John, who was related to Her? It was John's mother, Elizabeth, who said to Mary when She visited her "Why should this great thing happen to me, that my Lord's mother comes to visit me? For as soon as I heard your greeting, the baby within me jumped with gladness" Luke 1 39. Yes, there was further separation when Jesus had to flee to Egypt but should that stop people of Faith not acknowledging the relationship, particularly at a place of veneration for both parties; years later? @I C yeah he's entertaining but thats it. He does cast doubt on the Bible and flat out lies about Christianity. He has a doc on the exodus, and one of his shows about it. In both,, he completely goes around the dating of the bible and the historical events in Egypt which fit the exodus as its recorded. Im an amature and could never figure out why he does that other than he is intentually misrepresent the bible on purpose.
@lostamericanhistory25363 жыл бұрын
@I C No im not mistaken. Ive studied this subject for 20 years. You have to use books that are not even in the bible to prove your date to disprove the exodus? No scholar would agree with you. Which theory of Simcha are you talking about? He over shoots one in his exodus decoded but never says why he dates it that way and misses by 50 to 70 years to late with his Akenheten theory. The temple was built somewhere between 950 to 1000. If you go back 480 years from 950 you come Into 18th egyptian dynasty and everything fits. Not only the exodus but From Joseph, to the Exodus, the conquest, and emergence of a unified kingdom under David everything fits within the historical context from the temple being built +/- 20 yrs from 950bc. Im happy to share a list of archeological and historical finds that fit what the Bible says if you want to research it yourself. My question is, since the bible tells us how to date the exodus, why will no one use it? Everyone wants to use the wrong dates, then say see here's proof the bible isn't accurate. Its completely ignorant.
@lostamericanhistory25363 жыл бұрын
@I C It appears your following Simcha exodus decoded documentry. No one agrees with it. In fact there are 3 other ways which scholars date the exodus outside of the bible. That was my point which you clearly expressed. You are using what you can outside of the bible, to disprove the bible. Ahmose 1 which is the 18th dynasty not the 17th, matches a lot of the description we are looking for. The problem is dating everything else from that point. From Joseph, the tell Amarna tablets, Altar on mt ebal, fall of Jericho and Ai, the merneptah Stele doesn't agree with your dating though the bible could (depending on the date of the temple construction) The bible dates the exodus to around 1446. Hatshepsut would be the Pharaohs daughter. She had a sister that did not hold the title. Hatshepsut died after reigning as Pharaoh, Moses returns to go up against Thuthmosis the 3rd. He has a son die, his second son has a son die, thuthmosis body had signs of boils and was mangled, we have an abrupt stop to military campaigns under Amenhotep 3rd, Amenhotep defaces Hatshepsuts tomb and it wasn't because she was a woman or that he was trying to attribute her success to himself. 40 years later the Amarna tablets detail the conquest which falls under Akenheten the monotheistic heretic who does not send help. We are not free to make our opinions facts. What I stated are the historical facts which were derived from Egyptian history to see if they match the Biblical narrative and they do. We can go in more detail if you like?

21 Then an opportune day came when Herod on his birthday gave a feast for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee. 22 And when Herodias’ daughter herself came in and danced, and pleased Herod and those who sat with him, the king said to the girl, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.” 23 He also swore to her, “Whatever you ask me, I will give you, up to half my kingdom.” 24 So she went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” And she said, “The head of John the Baptist!” 25 Immediately she came in with haste to the king and asked, saying, “I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baptist on a platter.” 26 And the king was exceedingly sorry; yet, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he did not want to refuse her. 27 Immediately the king sent an executioner and commanded his head to be brought. And he went and beheaded him in prison, 28 brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the girl; and the girl gave it to her mother. 29 When his disciples heard of it, they came and took away his corpse and laid it in a tomb.

Ummm, I don't think he actually read the Bible regarding John the Baptist. Of course the Bible says he was popular but baptism was not his main focus. He very explicitly stated that he was the forerunner of the Messiah to come. John also said something important for you, Simcha, he said "Don't say you have Abraham as your father because God can raise up these stones as children". Otherwise, don't rely on being a Jew to get to heaven, instead be a Jew because you have faith in God. John was beheaded for calling out Herod and Herodius for adultery. Popular doesn't really figure in to the picture because neither John nor Jesus was about popularity. And Mary wasn't on her way to Bethlehem to see Elizabeth, she took a special trip to see her and in that she gave one of the most beautiful prayers in the Bible, the Magnificat. I'm not sure you want to know what Elizabeth said, but here it is "Who am I that the MOTHER of my ADONAI has come to see me". Fulfilling ISAIAH.

We can't find another book about John the Baptist beyond the Gospel. There are 4 books of The Story of Jesus/also known the books of Gospel. However, we truly believe, one of the books was written before the others , edited or copyright from one book. Who was John the Baptist is unable to know from all books, because there is no other book to find yet.

He is the greatest, MAN! near Jesus's life...God didn't need that title given to him...he had his name and his work. His body was pure in heart, spirit, and electrically able to hold the body while it was receiving the activation of his willful baptism as he incarnate as man. This makes so much more sense instead of the Catholicism story.

Mary visited because Elizabeth became pregnant in her old age and was due to give birth to her son, Mary & Elizabeth was first cousins. Mary was there to help Elizabeth in the birth process. Mary had just conceived and went to tell Mary she also was pregnant. John was sent to make the way for Jesus, John baptized by water, paving the way before the people because Jesus was coming. Jesus and John are cousins. John said to Jesus "I am not worthy to wash your feet You should baptize me". Jesus answered John we must complete the prophecy". When Mary was holding John on the first painting and you stated Jesus is not on the painting that was because Mary had only just conceived Jesus, as I said there is six months between John's birth and Jesus birth. Gods Blessings from across the pond.

From what I understand this is the wrong locusts...we all should do our own research. John was Jesus cousin. The prophesy was that He was the one making way for the Messiah. The Scriptures are the Truth not anyone’s assumptions or perspective.

Yes, Steph, you're right. They've got the locusts completely wrong. The locusts John the Baptist fed himself on are LOCUST BEANS, also called CAROB, which grow locally on buahes and trees. The beans are also called ST JOHN'S BREAD.

These are scriptures of John confessing from his own mouth that he was not greater than Christ Jesus. John 1 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
