This is a great interview with some points of self-reflection that are interesting, humbling, and eye-opening. It is lovely to hear there is five new songs and I will definitely have to give them a listen when released. Is it easier with a band vs. being solo? I would have to say sometimes being solo is easier, depending on which aspects of the career you focus. For instance, decisions might be easier because you have less people to confer to get a consensus. However, in terms of the workload over all, harder because solo, everything rides on you and you likely do all the work yourself. This is especially true trying to get seen and known in the music business. I can see certain aspects how being in a band is easier than solo. On a closing note, Dylan did have such a massive catalog of songs and I, personally, find it hard to narrow down that one masterpiece. I understand not being able to name a solo song as a masterpiece because Dylan wrote so many great songs. I agree it is hard to name a single favorite of his work, as he did several that are so iconic and still played 20, 30 years later. Love to hear the backstories behind songs. It is as interesting as the backstory behind how a certain article came to be written or why it is significant. :-) Interesting what happens backstage, etc., that shapes a song, a lyric, words, and you never hear about it unless the author wants to share or you know the author well enough to ask. Those backstories are sometimes humorous, happy-happenstances. However, sometimes, they are thought-provoking tragedies. Many times, one never hears or knows the backstory. It could remain an obscure footnote, until the author feels it is important to tell for some reason. Well-thought out interview and great questions. Love the flow of this interview. It sounds effortless, but it really takes great skill to do an interview like this and keep the flow and ask the questions that set the interview apart from so many other interviews. The structure of a question makes all the difference.

When the man asked him what did he do for a living and he responded "I'm a singer" i couldn't make out what he said the man's responce was. Does anyone hear it more clearly??? 6:53
