John Wallace Hatfield cemetery-setting facts straight-causes of death-Connections-Buskirk Kentucky

In this video Leo and Dan explore the John Wallace Hatfield cemetery in Buskirk, Kentucky. People buried there are relatives of Valentine Hatfield and their kin by marriage. Related of course to devil Anse Hatfield.
A lot of these people are listed as buried elsewhere, so this video documents without a doubt who is here.
I tried to get people on find a grave website to add family relations etc, but sadly most haven't been accepted. They deserve to be connected to their people, but I cant force it.

Hey Leo. Next time you're out reading old headstones, try taking alone a flashlight. Just move the light up and down on the edge of the stone. Better results if it's in the shade, or someone can shadow you. It also works with a mirror. Just reflect the light off of the mirror on to the headstone. Enjoy watching you videos, verry good.

Nice field trip there, Leo. Looked like ya'll enjoyed yourselves and gave Heather plenty to do when you got home. I've got one gripe with you old friend. When you're in these old cemeteries, you find a headstone and get down to look at it, I can not help but lean over to try to see better or move over go the side to try and see better. If anyone was watching me they would probably think I was losing what few marbles I have left. I have even hollered at you a time or two to not move away, I just about had it made out. So if my wife tries to put me away, I'm moving out there with ya'll !!! Love what ya'll do. Love your videos. God bless ya'll for what you're doing. Stay safe out there on these road trips.

As has already been noted, FC1 is fire controlman 1st class. The layed and aimed the guns and torpedoes, made range calculations, and performed some specialized maintenance on the various guns aboard a ship. The 307th infantry fought in the Pacific, most notably in Guam, the Philippines, and Okinawa.

The metal headstone were made from zinc. "They were cheaper than stone and allowed people to show off a bit after they passed without breaking the bank." ...from Google. I've seen them alot on other videos.

That looks like so much fun Leo!! Certainly brings back memories of my camping days! WOW! The hotdogs looked yummy. The campground looks so beautiful. Since I haven't been to Buskirk, I am going to add it to my liftoff places to visit. Gosh. All you need is some fish to fry on that open fire with eggs and hot biscuits. Yes those guys saved the lives of many more so on air craft carriers when the aircraft came back damaged or on fire, they were the first to be on the deck waiting to make sure the pilots got out safe & out of danger, very special men & women & always said that unit was always unreconized for it"s service during war time,
