This is a beautiful site in Kentucky. Although I live in KY, I have no clue where Blackberry is located. It certainly sounds like a really historic place to visit. I am going to add this site to my "bucket list." Thank you for such an awesome story Leo. You always do such a great job. Both you and Heather are a breath of fresh air on KZbin.

The sound of the children playing in the background just made the video that much better. When you study these events it is all to easy to forget that everyone involved was once some mothers children playing in the yard.

Leo Very sorry for the loss of your fishing buddy, that is a shock running upon his grave! Thanks Leo for sharing this, that is an awesome idea of the way they displayed it. You and Dan need to sneak and hide one night, at the end of that pond and each one hook a carp and let them race each other to the other end ha ha ha! You did an awesome job narrating the history of the feuds! God Bless you and Heather, that takes work! (Glen) WV.

Great video, guys. This one was special. As usual, ya'lls colabertive efforts were great. And yes Leo, I agree, this would've been a terrific 1st of the fued series. Nothing wrong with the way ya'll did the other videos. Either way, it was fantastic. Either end of the story would be great. First as preview, last as recap. Again Either way, ya'll did a great job. The stories was what brought Mr to the channel, content, presentation, research, and final result is what hooked me, made me subscribe. Now, the commitment to pursuit of a story, present all the known facts is what keeps me coming back for every story. Ya'll do a fantastic job on every video. God bless ya'll for what you do, and I certainly hope ya'll keep doing it for a long time. Stay safe out on the road getting these stories.

Very very cool!! I just love your videos. Years ago my son is now nearly 25 but when he was 2 my husband was in the military. One of our neighbors his last name was Hatfield. I never got a chance to ask him if he was related. Very nice dude. Even stranger 6.months later flying home for xmas was seated next to me was a McCoy who played professionally hockey.for the Flyers. If id had more nerve back then id asked if they were related.

That wall representing the Tug river, with those placks in that particular order, was supercool! It is interesting, how family lore, about a particular event, can take a lot of different twists and turns, like where Asa was killed. Great video, thank you very much Leo and Heather. Take care. 😀

Devil Anse patriark of the Hatfield Gang. I do believe this is one thing besides the civil war that started the feud history says that Devil Anse in 1863 deserted his post and Randall McCoy never forgave him for that cause most of the unit was killed except the very few that was captured but I think this killing that Leo is talking about is the one that really started it or at least stocked the fires but me and my kids love watching your videos keep up the good work we need more people to teach real history.

No. Devil Anse said late in life that he forgave Randal. Randal on the other hand, said he hopes Devil Anse burns in hell...
