Highly underrated actor. We need to see him in a modern day drama film
@rizhrd181 Жыл бұрын
his character is the true meaning of friendship & brotherhood.... if Winston is the NYC, He is the Osaka... his line when he told his daughter... that John Wick and his friendship with him was even way beyond before she was born... and yes he sacrificed his life, leadership, money, fortune, and everything he has for John Wick with no words at all and no hesitation.... but i love it when he said to Jonathan... please do me a favor, you exit where you came from/enter but kill as many as you can.... wow truly a genuine life time friendship!

As much I'd love to talk to celebrities, I don't think I'd come up with very intresting questions like this. And I love how he answered so thoughtfully.

I first saw him in Rush Hour 3 alongside Jackie Chan, and for him to progress to further roles and now in this latest instalment of John Wick, it is brilliant to see this evolvement. Hiroyuki is such a brilliant actor

Progress is playing forgettable small parts in shitty Hollywood movies? He began acting at the end of the 60's, was Sonny Chiba's protégé, acted for Kinji Fukasaku, was in two cult Hong Kong movies (Ninja in the dragon's den, Royal warriors), was in the original Ring, Sharaku from the VERY respected Masahiro Shinoda, had two fun parts in Kihachi Okamoto's East meets West and the excellent Vengeance for sale, found one of his best roles in The twilight samurai...and went to Hollywood the next year to play in amazing masterpieces such as The last samurai (Dances with wolves only with samurai and a very inferior movie compared to Costner's marvel), Rush hour 3 (wow!), Speed racer (...), Wolverine (...), 47 ronin (...), Mortal kombat (...), Army of the dead (...), Bullet train (...),... Sad end of career. But he likes money, so...

Sanada san is an amazing actor, more than just the martial arts. He was awesome in The Last Samurai, The Ring series, 47 Ronin, Spiral, The Twilight Samurai and more. Cannot wait to see him John Wick 4. (I thought it was nonsense that Hawkeye could defeat him in Avengers Endgame).
@DoremiFasolatido1979 Жыл бұрын
Ok...there's only so much they can portray in the movie, and for whatever reason, they chose not to give Jeremy Renner the sort of training that some actors end up going through. It happens...get over it. It was a fine enough scene for what it was. The real problem, is that they had someone of Sanada's caliber in the role, and ended up using him in that kind of scene. That, is unfortunate. But as for the quality of the fight, it's not really important because it really didn't matter at all. It was just a way to give Natasha (and us) a glimpse into how far Clint had fallen, killing indiscriminately and without purpose. It serves perfectly well enough. Not every action scene in every movie that has action can, or should, be John Wick level. Don't be such a fanboy.

I just LOVE Hiro💖💖! He's so reserved and soft-spoken in these interviews, but on screen he flips the switch and turns into a lethal weapon! The camera loves him - he steps into the scene and just commands your attention!!! He throws himself - literally - into all the action scenes, doing all the stunts himself and getting involved with the choreography of the fight scenes. Coming off of the wildly successful SHOGUN series - he's finally receiving all the accolades and recognition that he deserves!! He's also THE most INSANELY GORGEOUS MALE ON THIS PLANET 🤤🤤🤩🥰🥰🥰😘!!!!

I know he did movies in the past, but It's a SIN and a SHAME that Hiroyuki Sanada hasn't STARRED in his very own BIG BUDGET HOLLYWOOD MARTIAL ARTS MOVIE! He's always the CO-STAR. It's WAY WAY WAY past the time he was given the LEADING ROLE! We've seen his SWORD SKILLS many times, it would be fantastic to see his HAND-TO-HAND SKILLS showcased! I'd love to see him bring back the STREET FIGHTER movies started by SONNY CHIBA. He could play the original character's son or something like that. It's just way past time this fantastic actor got his very own martial arts movie.
@DoremiFasolatido1979 Жыл бұрын
It would definitely be a great thing to see him get his own starring role. But, many of my favorite actors never have, so I guess I don't really mind it. I'll take an amazing supporting actor any day. In such cases, I think proper ensemble movies are better suited for such actors to really shine.
