How to play the Cajon in Worship; Adding sounds

When playing Cajon in church, I often use other instruments to create a “hybrid” drum set. Here are a few ideas based on things I have done over the years.

Thank you for your thoughts about using percussion effects in worship - I also love them too. Using them with the right purpose, as you said, to emphasize the lyrics, point out transitions and fill the spaces is a blessing. All instruments can be used for vanity and manipulation, when the focus of worship is misplaced.

My apologies for the late response. The app I am using isn’t showing whether I responded. I like the Vic Firth brushes (purple or black handle. They are a bit more flexible).
