This segment & storyline has what makes this a great show. First, making the decision to set crab pots in a canyon that’s 3/4 of a mile deep, which means having to put a mile of shots on it to reach the bottom. Also, the process of having to guide the boat in a circular pattern, allowing the shots to unravel before launching the crab pot into the water. Since they weren’t catching anything, he used his years of experience to make that decision, even knowing there was a chance of losing that pot, and the mile of line tied to it. Second, even in that risky & stressful situation, he kept things positive, and was still his usual self, being a bit of a goofball. It’s one of the reasons he’s always been a fan favorite Captain. Lastly, this clip starts with his wife delivering him milk & cookies, which is a wholesome way of showing support & appreciation for his hard work, and maintains the goodnatured family dynamic between him & his crew.

The fishes eyes bulged and lungs probably died surfacing to quickly. Fisherman slowly and gradually bring fish up from that depth so that WONT happen.

Man...fuck do miss crab fishing .... Use to fish for snow crab in the north Atlantic..off the coast of Newfoundland....about 250 mile out ...and there's a WHOLE different breed of snow crab....I'm talking about like a oily purple kinda color and the size would rival king crab....shell bigger than my fkn face

I didn't see any unknown species. I'm glad i skipped straight to the end because I would be angry if i watched that whole clip of a show i can't stand just to get to the very end after almost 10 minutes to see a fish they immediately knew the name of. Thanks for the click baiting title and uploading clips of a show you don't make it makes it easier to see how disingenuous you are and it'll be easier to unsubscribe now.
