These guys make tens of thousands in just a few weeks of work. It's extremely hard and brutal work but if you can cut it...you can make a year salary in just weeks of work instead of having to work all year.

thank you. I believe a lot of these guys use but only a select few (ex. Elliott) had such a glaringly obvious problem and were in rehab multiple times and so were held up as an example on the show. This girl is a lesser but another one of those "examples." The rest of them keep it in hand enough to keep it quiet. They make sure they bring enough of whatever they use to go the whole trip.

Easy, in addiction you are often trying to stretch what you got as long as you can. In her case she knew she didn't have enough for the whole trip so going sick a few days then using is a move sometimes users will make as being sick 2 days then using and being sick another 2 days after is gonna be a lot better than 4 days straight nothing. Buuut there is the chance someone else on board is using too

None of that makes sense, I feel like it was just a part of the show. One minute she's in withdrawal, and then the next shes smoking pills in the bathroom. If she has a stash on the boat, she's not going to allow herself to be in withdrawal, whether she has to smoke them or pop them. Anybody who's been through it knows something doesn't add up here.

To an extent I agree with you although I can see the logic going something like this "I will sign up and take juuuussssttt enough for a rapid taper knowing I will run out before returning to port. Oh no people are noticing I'd better smoke one of my emergency pills to get into working shape just to make it to tonight and then I'll try sleeping part of it off."
