What endears Jake Anderson to me even more is that he not only recognizes his past mistakes, he doesn't make excuses for them and he doesn't try to blame others for them either. Then even though Sig had doubts about him, Jake proved him wrong then still goes around crediting Sig for being a part of his success. He still calls Sig his mentor up to this day. It's heartwarming to see how far those two have come.

Jake did a boss move he warned them he gave them the strips, Sig warned them, Bill warned them, Josh and Casey warned them, and Johnathan and Andy warned them you don't bring drugs or beer onboard. Trident has a strict policy anyone caught with drugs or beer on the boat will be marooned at the closest port, sent to jail, and deported to the Lower 48 and sent to federal prison. Jake did the right call he does not need to deal with those freeloaders. He brought those guys there to fish and what does Jamie, Kenny, Banjo, and the rest of the crew do? They squander their pay the moment the boat is unloaded and go to the Dutch Bar and get drunk! Jake told them No Beer! and still they do this time to dump those clowns and have them sent back to the Lower 48.

So i ran as fast as i could and jumped towards the boat. Crawling on the deck with my last powers. The skipper looked at me and said: Last chance. I learned so much from it and helped me to be responsible in my life. Today i am the skipper of a small sailing vessel and when its time to leave we're going. That's how it works. My mom wasn't doing so well in those days , so I'd just get up and go to the docks. The men on the docks knew the deal, they'd always give me a salmon to take home to my mom if I didn't catch anything. Eventually they took me out on the boats. It was mainly Halibut fishing back then, we considered cod to be chum, and just chucked em back in the water. As a 9 year old, I thought it was awesome doing day fishing, but I learned it is hard, hard work and the sea is deadly. Happy fishing.
