I'm no back country expert but even I know if you ride with just an avalanche beacon and you and your crew don't have probes and shovels you won't be able to dig each other out of an avalanche, and all of that Apex training is for nothing, so all your beacon is good for is Ski Patrol coming to recover your dead body and returning it to your window and orphaned kids. Heading off piste, get training and take all possible precautions people! (including a good life insurance policy to provide for your loved ones just in case...)

My daughter and her friends from Auraria Ski and Ride took me down You Might Die. I hit my head on a tree (wearing a helmet). I didn't hit very hard, but it was enough to trigger a migraine that messed up my vision. Ended my day. The river ride out sucked because there was over a dozen of us. There was no way to get any flow. One snowboarder fell down into the gully and i took him a LONG time to get out.

Johnathan, I would recommend taking this video down despite the warnings. I live in town and this area is in slide terrain. The bald spot off this area had a massive slide a couple weeks ago and the aspect is especially prone to avalanche problems throughout the majority of the year. In addition, this area has several INCREDIBLY steep areas including several very large unmarked cliffs. That river bed is notorious for injuring people that don't know what they are doing. You are inviting problems and liabilities by having this video up. I would only recommend this area to people that have gone with locals and those that are familiar with using backcountry mapping software. It just takes one person to say they learned about this area from this video for you to have a major legal problem on your hands.

The same could be said for literally any backcountry video. Those signs make it clear that you are taking your own risk as soon as you walk through them. Simple as that.
