I just don't get it. Can you explain it in plain language please? What do you mean we are aupposed to do? Speak? How? We 'establish' it how? Jesus could say 'peace' - by speaking one word - because he was God's spirit poured into a physical man's body. Do you mean we have to 'state' what we mean? Do you mean we have to 'command' things to be done? What does God's Grace look, feel like? What is it? What does 'walk free' mean? The Word of HIs Grace is Jesus... Jesus is the Word, but what does that mean? I do say I am sorry/repent for all the things I have done and said that breaks God's heart. I do pray every single day - all my life. Yet, nothing changes. I used to lie, and I used to do naughty things with partners that I wasn't married to. But, for the past 20 odd years, I've repented every day. I've forgiven those who have wronged me and stolen from me. I've prayed every day and blessed my food at every meal time. I don't do it in front of people either... I do try to show people what/who God is and pray they will be shown even just a sliver of His light. Yet, I face challenge after challenge. Everything (and I mean everything) goes against me. Whatever I try. The life that God has blessed me with, has gone from bad to worse... it has gone down all the way from birth through to today in my 60th year. I could list it all here, but you'd think none of it was true. In fact, I may as well write a book about it. Actually, it would suit a whole series of books. So, what am I doing wrong? What am I not doing? It seems as though you're saying if we pray and command and state the things we want, need, desire, then it will be given to us. I've often heard it said that God doesn't give you what you want, only what you need. Well, I'm facing dire circumstances at the moment, and though I keep putting my faith in God, in his Son and in the Holy Spirit, I'm going to crash soon. Is it that I am supposed to store up gifts for my life in heaven, after I give up this earthly life? Am I supposed to endure all the hardship that has been handed to me? If so, then I will accept that. But, what you're saying is something else... I should command it to be other than it is... but then, isn't that of Satan's domain? I know you mean well, I know you appear to lead a Godly life... and it's good that you're spreading God's message - but I have to say, that what you're saying isn't clear to me. If I take your word and put it into practice, then I should expect to grow in Christ without prayer, reading God's word, fellowship, witnessing, continuing on without seeking to put faith into action. The Bible teaches personal responsibility. Jesus also said in Matthew 28:18-20 that we are to make disciples. We have a responsibility on earth as His church to bear fruit, which yes comes from abiding in Him because apart from Him we do nothing. But that doesn't mean we do nothing..

We are to speak, pray and walk in the word of God. Philippians 2:16 tells us to”hold fast to the Word of Life.” Jesus is the Word and the Life! It is the presence and the work of the Holy Spirit that empowers us to live in that Truth by our faith. We are responsible with God’s Word! We have a part to play.
