I've been listening to the entire OST on a long walk outside through town and the local woods, and it has been such an immense pleasure. I even had goosebumps at certain parts with the sun setting on one side of my view, the moon rising on the other. People were on their way home, streets emptying, stores closing, streetlights turning on, the wind blowing, leaves crunching underneath my feet and your soundtrack blessing my ears. This is the soundtrack of the season, thank you, Mr. Carpenter!

It's amazing how John carpenter, along with his son and Davies reinvented the theme with that choir. It's A shame Harry Manfredini couldn't do the same with Jason....but he never established a true theme for Jason. The closest he came was the themes from parts Three and four, but the average person would never point to those. They usually refer to Kikikimamama as the theme😋

Totally agree, I really dont get why this got too much hate, almost as if its a trend for every 'reviewer' to hate on it, and yet, trash like 'theres someone inside your house' Netflix is getting good praise, my mind just dont get it man. I enjoyed Kills soo much imma go with my brother to watch it on cinema for a second time now, im introducing him to the franchise and he loved the first one 1978 as well for the 2018 one, although he wasnt expecting all that carnage in the 18' lol, cant wait to see his reaction to this one. Id say 1 and 2 are my favorites, maybe halloween 2 on first place, 4th on 3rd place and 18' and Kills next. Whatd be your top? Glad to know that hardcore fans really appreciated Kills. Cheers dude! Literally the only issues I have with the film is the focus on Tivoli - I understand it was a bit necessary to show us the mob's anger and willingness, and also the focus on Tommy Doyle and his expositional dumps. People find his acting awful, but he wasn't that bad; I just didn't like the story's focus on him

I just watched the movie last evening in a local movie theater! After all the mostly bad critcs, I was prepared for the worst! But it was not bad at all! I liked the background scenes from 1978 (and the design), how they finally caught Michael Myers and sent him to the asylum! Also the soundtrack from John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davis is awesome, especially the variation form the Halloween Main Theme!

Halloween Kills might be my favorite Halloween movie now. Michael is truly a horrifying, unstoppable evil force in it; you understand the evil loomis is refering to. After he rises from the ashes of the burning building, he transcends into death itself and becomes a MACHINE. The brutality cannot be matched. Halloween and Halloween 2 were awesome, and I liked Halloween 6 because of the brutality, probably the goriest in the original series, but Kills absolutely surpasses it. Loved the flashback to 78. Loved all the returning actors. The music...the music is as transcendent as ethereal as michaels evolution into a phantom, a ghost, a monster. Truly living up to the legend. Cant wait for the next one.

The theme that started playing around the 4-minute mark reminds me of the Michael Myers chase music from Dead By Daylight, which is how I met the bogeyman. The undetectable tier 1 and the stalking through walls made me love, but Halloween 2018 has finally made me interested in horror. On the 28th of October (I live in Australia), I hope to have my first horror movie experience via Halloween Kills. Fingers crossed I don't wet myself... Edit: you've done an incredible job, Carpenter. All three of you have really broken the mould will horror even though John Carpenter basically made that very mould in 1978. I salute you all...
