By far my favorite podcast yet!! My company also places high value on succession planning in order to sustain its explosive growth but often leaves new leaders and senior leader in a frustrated state due to not taking into consideration what “season” someone is in. Thank you Mark and Tracy for sharing this message. It gives me plenty of challenges to chew on and I always take this back to my team!

Value the process more than events. Events are good for decision making. The process is good for development. The Law of Process. Leaders are developed daily not in a day. Daily develop your leadership skills, experiences and knowledge. Those who fail to pour into others are likened to dead end streets. Who are you pouring into? Ages and stages of leadership... establish yourself as a leader. Succeed forward. Create something worthwhile. Longevity and legacy not trends are the focus and growth goal. Leaders math. Develop leaders. Develop your rhythm. Lift others up. Take inventory of your motives as a leader. Develop good motives and healthy strategies for growing and developing in leadership. Influence trinkles down not up. Develop other leraders to take the vision further, faster and to be more effective. Leadership is a stewardship issue. Take leadership seriously, yet graciously. Cultivate people to be strategic and responsible. The value and reasoning behind succession is to free you up to do other things. What would you be doing right now, that demands your time or that you desire to do that you would do, if you were not doing what you are doing now?
