Persephone was abducted to the Underworld by Hades (with Zeus's permission as he was her father, but without the consent of Demeter, who was her mother) and while she originally detested him for doing so, she did grow to genuinely love him, but what sealed the deal of their marriage was the fact that Persephone ate pomegranate seeds that partially tied her to the Underworld, however, it would appear that Persephone used the pomegranate seeds as an excuse to stay with Hades over the objections of her overprotective mother, Demeter, who did not approve of her relationship with Hades

@@firxanza5172 Another thing that shows that Hades loved her, even in the myths, it's the fact that, tecnically, she is the strongest of the three wives, since, despite popular belief, Hera and Amphititre aren't queens they are just the consorts of Zeus and Poseidon respectively, on the other hand, Hades literally gave Persephone his kingdom, imagine the surrealism of the situation: the guy who kidnapped her didn't assault her (unlike what other gods would have done to her) but showered in gifts and gave her his kingdom, his riches, his power and everything else if she accepted to be bound to it. Also any time Hades bends the rules of the Underworld it's because he can't say no to her

Hades cares about three thing's; his kingdom, his wife and his dog. Plus he has beef with his mother-in-law and i especially love one part of the lore where Demeter threatened to flood the underworld with souls (due to starvation of humans) of she didnt get her daughter back and Hades one upped her and said he'd release them all back into the living world and wouldn't give Persephone back. Both were forces of nature that made even Zeus scared of them.

Yes and No. In mythology Hades is normally a very chill and by the book guy, he dont curse mortals, he dont start wars, he basically just do his job, no drama no conflict, he is probable the second best god after Hestia. After hades fall in love with Persephone, he decide he want to do things right and by the book, ( a very Hades thing) so he go to Zeus ( The father of Persephone and king of the gods) and following the tradition and rules of the time he ask Zeus for Persephone's hand and permission to start courtship, Zeus was very happy about and give Hades 1000% support and permission, but he come with one condition. Hades needs to kidnap Persephone, that was not Hades idea, that was all Zeus, Demeter will never allow Persephone to marry anyone, and Zeus don't want to have that conversation with Demeter, so Zeus basically tell Hades to take Persephone to kidnap Persephone ( a very Zeus thing) that way the relationship can start and Zeus don't need to talk with Demeter. So yes Hades Kidnaped Persephone, but was not his idea it was Zeus's idea and condition. and after he Take Persephone to the underworld, he basically shower her with gifts and make her queen, and i dont say " Consort Queen" like "you have power because you are married to me" like Hera and Poseidon's wife. no Hades makes Persephone "QUEEN" 50% by 50%, like the underworld has two Thrones. fun fact, in mythology humans are more afraid of Perspehone than they are afraid of Hades, reason why Persephone was called "Dread Persephone"

There are multiple renditions of the story, in some he tricks her into eating the pomegranate seeds. In others she purposely eats them to stay with him. I believe it always starts with a kidnap, however a common theme of their relationship that never changes is how in love they are with one another, at least how in love hades is (at one point Persephone was unfaithful but he never was). Persephone is almost always described to be very protective of hades for example, there have been several stories of which she went out of her way to protect him

Actually, it was against his will as well. He was ordered to by Zeus after Hades asked him to marry her as per customs at the time. Even Demeter didn’t blame him because every source she went to told her Zeus is to blame even though Hades did the action. The only fault Hades have in the myths is the pomegranate part, and even that’s debatable because the only surviving written copy of the hymn was destroyed at that part. Even so, Persephone is the ONLY queen who have equal power, respect, and control as the king. Her will is just as important as his in the underworld. Apart from (again debatable) pomegranate part, Persephone was never mistreated, and she even grew to love Hades.

That series is super good. I love the music, story, animation and voice acting. I wish we've got more than 8 episodes and 4 years for a season release! And it's quite a change this show portrayed Hades as misunderstood and not evil. Demeter is evil instead.

Hades and Minthi i think he cheated with Minthi when his wife went away for 6 months. Also he might be the less of the brothers when it comes to evil but his not innocent either ask pormetheus about Hades or the Titans for that matter he allows all kind of ways of torture upon them thats why he is depicted as evil in most hollywood movies because he is incharge of the torture going on in the underworld and allows horrors upon even the innocent who are there.
