This was the most powerful show I've seen Dr John do. The one time I had someone behave like this was decades ago, when the wife of a coworker went into the kitchen and slipped her hand down my then-husband's pants. He came and told me about it, and I went to her husband, told him what had happened, and he said, "she does that sort of thing all the time - it's all in being playful." I said, "we don't play that way here - take her home and never come back." I found out later that, indeed, that was a pattern with her. Good God, what kind of circle of friends allow that kind of crap?!

I know I wouldn’t! I once had to tell a friend who was strung out and being abused with her baby present and at risk that I would do everything to help her leave but if she doesn’t I will do everything in my power to ensure her kid gets removed. “I will call every agency daily. I will make sure You lose her. And you can hate me and never speak to me again. But your child needs protection more than you need a friend. One day you’ll thank me. Bc the day your sitting in prison for life bc something happened to your child is the day you’ll say to me, why didn’t you intervene?” I told her she was too sick to see the truth and I was the only person on earth who knew the truth. That makes it my responsibility to do something bc one day God will ask me what I did. My answer won’t be nothing. She left, is clean, and kids doing great.

@@Syzygy_Bliss I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm stating to to the original poster why police can't do anything but record it and why a DA or prosecution can't do anything. Problem is, people have a skewered view point that just by reporting molestation/ SA or r@pe, there is an automatic court case like law and order. That's why red pillers love to try and make out there are more fake accusations, than real accusations ( and strangely they ways talk about them or there best friend being falsely accused multiple times of SA, which is a scary statistic as me, my friends or family don't know even one person falsely accused... But they know multiple). The police and DAs only work on. Slam dunk wins. In the UK, 97% of reported rapes/ SA don't even get to court. The 3% that do, 1 in 3 result in conviction, because most rapes are acquaintance rapes by someone known to victim, and no physical evidence, so he said, she said. And juries are reluctant to put away defendants because they are presented as nice men with great futureswho "misunderstood" and the victims as borderline sluts. So basically if you are reported, you have a 99% chance of getting away with it, unless you have physical evidence or a recording of what happened or a confession. I. E it's difficult for the system to believe singular evidence or testimony. I didn't suggest "don't report it".

About 6 months before I was married my husband's uncle was arrested for pedophilia. I immediately told my fiance his uncle wasn't welcome at the wedding. He and his mother both told me he is innocent until proven guilty. I started asking family if they knew anything about this. Found out my soon to be sister in law was in the room when it happened. I was stunned her own mother and siblings didn't believe her. Only to find out they never asked anyone around the uncle if this could be true. They wanted to have blinders on. My soon to be husband wouldn't tell his uncle we weren't inviting him. I had to. I should have known then not to marry this person. Core values were very different. It ended in divorce.

This whole conversation infuriates me. Being a survivor from sexual assault, I couldn't imagine being friends with anybody who is in a relationship with a predator. The relationship ends there. Over a decade ago I ended the relationship with my friend for this very reason. Her dad was a predator. We could not be friends anymore. Losing a friend is hard. Losing a friend can be very tragic and I don't think it's talked about enough. But, for her sake and sanity, she needs to leave this friend alone.

Instead of judging your friend for staying with that man, since you don't know what personal trauma she is going through, just keep yourself safe from him. And be available when your friend has the strength to break away.

Better yet, let the friend know that when she (the wife) is ready to LEAVE THE PREDATOR and ABUSER, you will be there. Until then, you CANNOT CONDONE her choice of sticking with this sexual PREDATOR. This assholes wife has a friend support group that would be (or seems like) happy to help support her in any way to help her get out of that situation. She doesn't want to bad enough, and she is going to live in denial as long as she can. Until she hits bottom with this POS, there isn't anything the friend (caller) can do for her.

He is also calculated. He is making sure his wife is completely isolated even from household employees. She will have nobody left and he will torture her and the child. I'm not saying she should be friends with the wife, but maybe give her family a heads-up when she is ready or is forced to leave.

ADULTS stayed quiet. One spoke up so the others did. This man is a danger and a predator. You tell your friend you will allow her to stay with you if she leaves him and will financially help out for 2 months while she leaves him (or something you could do). Then you respectfully wish her well but you cannot be around a predator for your safety and children’s safety.

Keep calling the D. A. Warn your friend she is complicit and can also be prosecuted. They can lose custody of their child. The media can also access this information, and ,when they do, the FIT REALLY HITS THE SHAN! It can become so public your friend's reputation is shot to hell. Remind her that society has a cage for these predators. It's called prison! She could also spend time behind bars.

She was mad at first but I told her “someone’s gotta love you enough to tell you some hard truths, and someone’s gotta care enough about your child when you were going through some stuff.” She knew I was only tough with her bc I cared. I told her if she wanted to come hit me she could but one way or another that kid was leaving that house.

Like Dr DeLony says the wife is a complicit to her husband's situation. Per her friend, "This perspective that she has that like he has no control over this b/c he is a sexual addict."🤦🏻‍♀️. She is fully aware yet in denial at the same time, which is scary and inexcusable. What more is he capable of b/c he can not control himself? The fact that a child is in that household is scary too. As for the husbands I wonder if they spoke to him and set boundaries before kicking him out as it's not specified🤷🏻‍♀️. As for the friends who are fully aware of the situation and what some of them have encountered it's best to stay away.

Years ago, my infant cousin was victim of the worst type of abuse a girl could experience. Yes, infant! When my aunt told me that the state would not prosecute, I did not believe her. The babies pediatrician was moving out of state around that same time, but he agreed to travel at his own expense so that he could testify in court. It was unimaginable to me that a state would not protect a child. I, myself, called prosecutors, courts, and anybody I could think of, yet every single person told me that they would not, could not, prosecute s*x crimes against children, unable to say who had done such a horrible act. The man didn’t even lose visitation rights to the child. Shock of all shocks, she grew up to be a messed up adult.

You can’t be friends with her because eventually it will put you in danger. I had a friend who was married to an abuser, she wouldn’t leave but one night showed up at my door beaten & bloody. I let her in & a few minutes later there he was banging on my door shouting he was going to kill her & me. Thank God my husband was there to take care of him. My kids were toddlers at the time. We all could have been hurt or worse. Police were called, she declined to press charges (this was 30+ years ago). She left with her abuser & I never saw or spoke to her again. I have no idea what happened to her. But I wasn’t going to put my family at risk.

The indecent exposure is clearly sexual offending and he will escalate to rape eventually. And if he was truly out of control, he would try it on with a woman who has a husband who is likely to smash him. But he doesn't, he chooses vulnerable single Mums. His wife is in denial and is enabling and allowing him to offend. And how disgraceful of the DA's office not to pursue a prosecution. What are they going to have to say for themselves when he does rape a woman? If he hasn't already.
