Hi. I am a law student from Turkey and i am also staying in a dorm room. Seeing someone who is struggling like me also gives me the feeling of like having a companion on the same path. I have some financial problems and also lack of motivation. Your channel makes me feel good about life. Thank you from across the ocean.

@iamchris60336 жыл бұрын

Don't worry in Islam we belive that Allah gives everything to everybody by his mercy the prophet Muhammad SAW was siting with the sahaba (his friends) and told them that nobody gets into Jannah through their good deed only by Allah's mercy and they asked him even you and he said even me. Don't feel bad just thank him and have wonderful days InshAllah:) Oh and I don't know if those were the exact words spoken, it is just the general story told :)

The question I have is how you will grow and get better while at home for the holidays. Because it's easy to slide then but not the way it has to be. We support your awesomeness!
@MlayTech6 жыл бұрын
Susan Fish, Congrats Harvard mom! Your son is doing great work, maybe you can cut him some slack when he gets home.
@jeanjohn17286 жыл бұрын
Mlatech, you got the complete wrong idea of Susan Fish's comment. She's asking if he has any ideas to not slack during holidays as this is not the way it has to be. Her comment in no way is implying that he slacks off during the holidays, and she's saying she suppourts his awesomeness. It's been mentioned on many videos that his parents aren't tigers - she doesn't need to "cut him some slack" as there is no tension on him, further reinforced by "we support your awesomeness"!

I just discovered your channel today and I have been really enjoying the content that you make. I find the way that you organize your day in the notebook and set yourself realistic goals to be a really interesting way of keeping on top of things while staying motivated and I think that i am going to start doing the same thing. Thanks for the great content and keep up the good work!

your video helped me so much. I wish I saw your channel when I was in school. You are so sensitive about your emotions, mental health and what is going on your mind. I learned a lot from that.

I have to admit, your ability to allocate time to your hobbies is truly inspiring. After doing math i usually just hang out on social media.

I love Johns videos and his channel and totally curious about his upcoming notebook. 'Getting better' with checking off goals and checklists is not a general method for getting better/ become a better person. I just mention it because I see many people who define who they are on how much they get done in a day. It is (for me) a personal reference to John himself to 'get better' because it is what he likes to do (at this moment). Becoming an influencer and getting a fair amount of attention always brings the danger to interpret the things which have been said or shown as a solution for ones personal struggles. It is never a bad advice though to get inspired by fantastic people. This is what I am here for. Become the best version of yourself!

Limit social media and your phone! I still spend upwards of 2 hours a day on my phone and I've been making a conscious effort to get off it; if you install a tracking app, you might be amazed how much time you waste. Just by not scrolling through social media, you can win so much time back. You don't have to quit cold-turkey, just be aware of usage and limit it.

John, I had a thought regarding your grow book idea. In addition to a hardcopy, I believe creating an phone app would be a great idea as well and very useful especially for students around campus.
