Even as a big Chevelle fan I’m a little mixed on the vocals in this song. If you want to get a feel for one of his better performances I’d recommend Send the Pain Below or Sleep Apnea. Awesome reaction as always! 😀

Thank you! Seems like there will be a round 2 for these guys on the channel,so appreciate the tips :)

I think its because the last 2 albums were so heavy its kind of weird to hear Pete sing like this again.

This is a band you can’t listen to once and form an opinion. The style and songs grow on you and eventually, you “get it.” They aren’t pop, they aren’t mainstream catchy, they are just creative hard rock. And once you get it, you’ll hear the fallacies of all the current mainstream rockers. And you’ll appreciate Chevelle for what they are: underrated, modern rock artists.

I know what you're talking about. I've had that happen to me quite a few times: FIrst song/listen...hmmm...BUT,then i try other songs and even the ones that i wasn't a huge fan of before make more sense afterwards. Will get back to Chevelle for sure,because i can feel there is more to them than i'm hearing here.

I would say best "new" band of the last 25 years, every album is great
@lindacoy71653 жыл бұрын
Their last two albums were heavy, so if that is what you are looking for, try “Ouija Board”, “Door to Door Cannibals”, “Choking Game”, or “Got Burned”. Pete has a huge vocal range. Plenty of melody and screaming. “Forfeit” and “Family System” from the Wonder What’s Next album are also great. Family System has killer guitar, melody and screaming. Please give them another shot - they are incredible.

I most likely will give the another shot,because i apparently didn't choose the best "entry" song for them. Seems like they have quite the passionate fanbase and i love that as well,so keep an eye out on the channel :) Thank you!

These guys have been putting out solid music for years. Especially for being a 3 member band. I encourage you to check out some of their older stuff

Based on your reactions to the screams, I would highly suggest you listen to "The Fad". One of my favorites of theirs.

Sleeper Chevelle bangers: An Island, Mexican Sun, An Evening with El Diablo, Piñata, Clones, Hunter Eats Hunter.. that should be enough to get you going.

Thank you for suggesting more songs than just radio singles🤘🏼it’s a pet peeve of mine, when ppl only know and suggest the same radio singles only and never the rest of the bad ass songs on their albums
@Gingerbreadman14883 жыл бұрын
Clones, An Evening with El Diablo are a couple of my favs for sure! Panic Prone Well Enough Alone Forfeit Punchline Shameful Metaphors Family System And most of their new album is of course badass! I agree most people are naming the generic radio songs.

i'd say they're a crossover between alternative rock and hard rock, maybe some metal influences especially since Tool is one of their inspiration. you should react to: The Red, Letter from a Thief, Send the Pain Below

I consider Pete one of the most creative and versatile alternative rock/metal vocalists out there. Every album in their catalogue has some crushing riffs, very interesting lyrics and a wide range of expression on vocals. They're amazing. Every album has something different to offer while maintaining their essence.
@xBlade1733 жыл бұрын
They are alternative/metal. Not emo. Pete just likes to utilize his falcetto and range on some songs more than others.

“Envy” is one of my top tracks from them, but perhaps that is also a song that stems from the band growing on me as well. If you appreciate an overall heavier sound, I recommend “Antisaint”, “The Fad” and “Humanoid”. Fair warning, though, they are often a fade out band. I think you might enjoy “Antisaint”, though, as it starts out jumping right into heavy guitar, good bass, and the skilled drummer. Also, to note, Pete and Sam Loeffler are brothers (vocals guitar and drummer respectively), and their bassist has recently left, so that is likely why the video only has the brothers. Dean Bernardini (bassist since ‘05) is their brother and law, and said he wanted more family time (the not in-laws) and that he might come back. It’s actually really cool that they’ve been a family band, making it in today’s world, even they aren’t the most loved band. Personally, they are my favorite, but I am also a fan of skilled vocals in the higher range accompanied by down-tuned instruments. They take heavy inspiration from Hamlet and Tool, which explains the use of mixing clear vocals with a bit of a softer growl.

He doesn't usually sing that high. Give them another shot. Recommended tracks: The Clincher, Face To The Floor, Joyride

Try Warholz Showbiz, or Antisaint by them for their heavier side! They are a mix between Tool and Breaking Benjamin, soundwise. They're also a 3 piece band currently as the bassist went on Hiatus to spend time with his family. Its just the 2 brothers now, Pete on vocals/guitars/bass and Sam on drums

Legendary reaction, sir. And I respect your confliction with these guys. I hate when reactors do not risk showing the actual music vid, due to potential demonetization. You exceeded.

Thank you :) It's not really about monetization,but official music videos have a tendency to get blocked worldwide. Appreciate the kind words nevertheless! :)
