@highanglelarry4 жыл бұрын
If you work on doing it just like an ollie but right before the your lead foot would level out bring it forward and to the corner between the nose and backside of your board. You really don't have to flick and it'll level out better.
@highanglelarry4 жыл бұрын
My heelflips were clean but never more than a foot off the ground. I changed the method to do the opposite of a kickflip. I later learned that it was a toeflip. The kick and toe also should be almost as high as your ollie. Ive heard toeflip used for another trick too.

I’ve seen kinda two ways people make back360. The coolest being when they tweak them down with their front foot and let the front foot seemingly take the lead and kinda twirl the board all the way around, like a sort of Ollying over something very high and multi dimensional. The more laid back looking type is when they actually loose contact with the board with the front foot (almost like Ollie north) and seemingly let the back foot lead the board around, more like a mid air pirouette.

If I'm ollieing OFF of something like a box or a curb I have a wicked snappy pop and effortless height, but ollieing ONTO or OVER something is like a science I can't master. I've only been skating 10 weeks. Never been on a skateboard in my life, and I'm 47. I don't understand any tricks yet...
@beemelonhead14 жыл бұрын
Wow 47 and you're just starting? That's very bold and brave my friend. Props to you! I've been skating for 20yrs since I was 10 and if you want some advice, I'd stay with not worrying about tricks for a long while.. when you're starting out the most important thing is to just skate and get used to your board to improve board control. Instead of driving down the street to the corner store, skate there (that's just one example). Learning to be comfortable and gaining board control is the most important thing before trying Ollieing etc.. I think a lot of people focus too much on tricks in the beginning which leads to discouragement and just looking awkward on a board.. but anyways I'll stop ranting. Keep at it yo if it makes you happy!
@thehumblepundit97904 жыл бұрын
@@beemelonhead1 thanks! Your advice is excellent. Right now, I have a parking lot at a church I go to 3-4 times a week and am still just learning to push myself around. Getting faster and more stable on my board. I go to skate parks too, just to get a different place to hang and am now learning to roll fakie off of small quarter pipes. I'm having so much fun with, I don't really care about tricks. It's great exercise, too.

@Spookrider1004 жыл бұрын
As a life long skater and instructor (ok snowboards, but helps with analysis I think) my observation especially on the kickflip FS 360s: work on bigger pop and suck up to land, ie the flip is done by the time youre at the top of your jump comes up to your feet, instead of your feet catching in when its going down . Bigger pop will surely help with the multi flip tricks too? Easier said than done I know...great vids thanks.

If you unlock the secret of the flat ground hardflip, you will unlock the frontside 360 kickflip. Those were my killer tricks. Try putting your pop foot on the opposite side of the frontside rotation. Like right where the tail meets the flat for that side pressure pop. It will automatically flip the hardflip with the same foot motion in full. Add a 180 and stomp the 2nd 180 for the front 3
