Hey bro I know it’s tough. I’ve been struggling with the fact that I won’t be able to do the same things that I did when I was younger when I get older. But there is meaning and purpose for every season of life. Our lives on earth are also pointing to something greater: there is eternal life in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” This message helped me find hope and I sincerely hope it helps you too. -Haven

One sport that is as dangerous as skateboarding is... Skateboarding. I'm referring to Vert. You don't see vert skaters arguing that helmets are uncomfortable or uncool. You can skate a half pipe without a helmet, sure. And the times when they hit their heads are rare. But hey good luck being without a helmet the day it happens. Same logic can be applied to street skating. The problem with the helmet topic is the cultural reluctance as a community to use helmets in street or park skating. Is peer pressure. And, while individual freedom and whatever, sorry but i find 99.99% or reasons people use to not wear a helmet are dumb logic. I started skating moren than 30 years ago, i been not consistent all this time but I'm skating again. I do think 99.99% of my reasonings to not use a helmet were dumb logic. Helmets loon actually cool and rad and it takes you one day to get used to it. The rest of the comparisons with other sports are irrelevant. I'm not discussing sports I'm not do nor i am interested in. I think some of them are stupid.

Man, I've been paying attention to your comment section, and it's so beautiful to see how everyone has grown together. I've been watching you for so long too, just like everyone here, and just like everyone here, I want to say: we are here because of you! The person, John Hill. The talk, the story, the history, the vibes, man. It’s weird, because when I hear your voice, it feels like hearing from a friend. After so much time watching your videos and seeing what you're going through, it feels like we’re all on this journey together.

I remember back in the 2000’s I had a Zero flat bar that would lift off the ground on one side every time I tried anything other than a boardslide. This looks a lot more sturdy

thank you for the inspo to get to learning ledge and flatbar tricks! there's been some mental barrier preventing me from actually tackling them and this just makes me want to get out and get working. Hell I'm learning kf back noseblunt on a hip rn, and I can't boardslide a flatbar or 5050 a curb?? anyhoo, thank you for always giving me the desire to keep learning and genuinely keep progressing daily:)))

My theory about fakie grinds is the half cab f’d it all up. Think about it, we call it half cab noseslide, then what is fakie noseslide or tailslide, or even fakie back tail or fakie fs nose.

Haven't watched this channel in a while, been subscribed for years though, but just wanted to say idk why John gets so much hate from skaters. I feel like anytime I see him pop up and comment on another person's video, there's a bunch of like ... Idk, "core" skaters? REAAAAAAL skaters?.. that comment pointless hate towards him. This man is clearly a skater first. A talented one at that. And a KZbinr second. Maybe even third or fourth behind some other things in his life. Maybe even LAST.. idk, but he's a skater who uploads positive content. Get off my mans back. So, just showing some support. Thanks for the content man.

It's only Jan 8th and I'm already looking forward to the compilation at the end of the year of hundreds and hundreds of tricks you did. It will be awesome to have a massive video of just tricks to get hyped before I go skate! Amazing skating as always, John. I'm happy to see you back on your board and having fun again. Especially in winter! I find that it's so easy to go a week or two without stepping on my board this time of year and then the next thing I know, I'm feeling depressed and don't know why until I finally skate again.

John you got a million subscribers. Not advocating blackmailing or any type of chicanery but you should start pulling rank on small KZbin fitness trainers and make collabs. The best and newest form of exercise is called _'pnf'_ and _'pri'._ These are done best through certified trainers Conor Harris, Greg Chaplin and Neil Halinan who are also on KZbin. Im sure it wouldn't hurt that they might be stoked to break into the awesome world of skateboarding with a exercise collab from you. ❤

Bro you are so inspiring, I just restored a 15+ year old flat bar & started skating it again. Got FS board slides & FS 50-50’s back. I’ve always had regular BS boardslides but now I wanna get my lipslides & other tricks I’m comfortable with on a ledge. Cause seeing you skate rails like this - looks soooo fun. So thank you for keeping it fun & making such dope & inspiring skate content. Much love bro. Keep pushin’ 🤘😎🙏🌎🛹
