I wish I had a vacuum bleeder when I was bleeding the system in my k swap... holy cow I had to jack that thing up to the moon, run it and shut it down about a billion times, squeeze the lines, all the bells and whistles lol.. she made me work for it. Congrats on getting the K24 on the road she looks fun.

Not to put you on the spotlight but are we talking coolant or brake fluid? If the former is the case, then it would be a vacuum purge kit, not vacuum bleeder. Vacuum bleeders for brake calipers suck and create more bubbles.

DUDE Do not tear into the trans!! I would put money down that the noise is in fact the throw out bearing. Idk what clutch kit you used but I’ve had bad bearings multiple times over the last 15 years of building Hondas and what is going on with yours is exactly what has happened to me and many other people. The noise goes away when the clutch is pressed because there is load on the bearing which quiets it down. Basically there is some slop in the bearing and when it is just resting on the pressure plate forks/springs there is enough play that it rattles. Get a high quality bearing and you’ll be good!

@@Nobody716-j5e yea man it’s extremely likely that it’s just a simple $40 bearing. No idea what clutch they used but if it came with a cheap Chinese bearing it’s probably that

Came here to say the same, after trial and errors and multiple clutch jobs on Tsx’s definitely a throw out bearing. USE OEM ONLY! Aftermarket ones in kits suck and tend to start chirping prematurely.

Guys, this is clearly inside the trans. When he push the clutch, sound stops. That is also when trans input shaft stops spinning. If it was throwout bearing, it would only get worse when pressed. I’ve done 100 trans and yes they are weak but this one is internal.

@@Facinesanslimites dude… no lol That’s absolutely not true. Sure, sometimes when the bearing gets really bad it will get louder when the pedal is pressed, but 9 times out of 10 it quiets down. If it was a trans bearing he would’ve noticed it while driving in gear, not just sitting there idling in neutral. You say you’ve “done 100 trans”, what does that even mean? You’ve rebuilt 100 k series transmission? Do you own a shop or something?

If you haven’t already, pull the rubber dust shield by the slave cylinder and see what your clutch pressure plate looks like! Mine was doing the same thing, and when I pulled that, you could visible see the pressure plate wobbling. I was actually able to use an extension and a wobbly socket to tighten them all the way down, put red loctite on them, back them out to chase the threads with the loctite and then tightened them back up. You can pull the inspection plate under the car and check if all the threads are evenly tightened down from there as well and rotate it by hand to check each bolt to see if all the threads are tight or any are backing out. Hope this helps before you get too far into a rebuild!

After replacing all the bearings, bad synchros, clutch throwout and ring bearing, my Si still made this noise. It ended up being my new clutch needing adjustment at the pedal.

i had a really bad belt squeal on my k swap when i finished it. turned out the water pump housing bolt holes were stripped and it was causing my alternator to sit crooked. threw the belt off 2 or 3x on the dyno before realizing what exactly it was. had to helicoil the housing, but ever since then its been fine.

I would bet it’s a input shaft bearing. Throw bearing you hear when the pedal is pressed and Input shaft bearing you hear with the clutch pedal out in neutral.

It's 100% POSSIBLE to have a throw out bearing noise present when the you let the clutch out. I know from experience

I didn't make it through the entire video yet but I know that noise.. Those Darn Input shaft bearings are always going out lol I just replaced mine in my Vitara D16 build last month. Along with the outer counter shaft bearing because it felt a little rough.

The flywheel or clutch bolt are lose. Same thing happened to be. Make sure they torqued to spec.

Holy crap, I had no idea we have the same issue. My EP3's K20A3 makes the same noise when off the clutch, I completely though that was just how a normal clutch sounds...

I had this same problem everyone told me it was the throw out bearing I changed everything besides anything in the trans nothing changed still heard it but eventually it just went away idk what did it
