It was an injoke of the band even before AHDN referring to Elvis or Cliff movies where someone would say that line and a song would start up out of nowhere, going into AHDN they specifically said they didn't want a “why don’t we do the show right here" type movie, then typically out of sheer sarcasm Lennon still puts it in lol

Oh wow, didn't spot that before.. thought it was a bit strange she was singing 'Oh Yoko'... I wonder if she wrote the song?! After all, 'Oh, John' rhymes with 'My love will turn you on', unlike 'Oh Yoko' (although 'Oh Yoko' does kind of scan better, at least the way John sings it..) Don't forget she more or less wrote 'Imagine', or at least the basic concept and structure of the song - in her book 'Grapefruit' IIRC - without ever being credited for it.

I have never seen this footage of John and Yoko. Such a beautiful acoustic live version of a much under rated love song. It’s just so good to hear this unpolished raw version and sometimes these takes on a particular song, are often time better than the recorded interpretations we all know. Regardless of that though, any live footage of the great man is a privilege to watch and listen too. Not bad harmonies by Yoko Ono either to be fair. This is Romeo and Juliet on film and so no matter how much we think we know the man or judge his life decisions, Lennon was no mug and was clearly in Love. I think this song and the first 2 solo albums specifically, gave John a new purpose and musical identity, a new direction, a new vision. The love maker...the peace maker...the dreamer who could finally imagine. Sure he had his critics and his accusers but he was a great man ultimately, a talent so natural as to be unparalleled as a modern day songwriter. However more important than all that, he was a man who learnt to face his demons and accept the inner Angel....he eventually came to truly love and be loved. God rest his soul and may he rest in eternal peace.♥️🙏🎼x
