Grab the other slab and start over. Do everything the way that you should have done it the first time. This was a practice round. For the remainder of the broken slab put a set of drawers under the broken side to pay for the entire project. I'd love to have that desk.

12:34 people that act like John in this video are the worst people ever to work with. As soon as there is any pressure they act like jerks and blame everything on their coworkers. Not to mention how he acts when the multi hundred pound table falls.

This is your first video I've watched and I have to say that your negative comments all stem from you not giving your team proper direction and game plan before trying to put it into motion, there's no prep and the stress factor kinda remind me of the manufactured stress that all the bike building/baking whatever tv shows that just wanted drama. -it's not what I want to watch and it's not why I was here to begin with. p.s. that slap popped off the table and had force to it, there's no way he could have "saved" it without serious risk to himself and that's unacceptable.

Little bit too much spazzing in this video... making fun of the dude for not trying to catch it is one thing if it's light hearted but to repeat it and break things is nuts

As the owner and boss of my company , I've learned a very important lesson watching this video , then reading everyone's comments. I have got to be a lot more careful with my attitude and planning. I typically do not care about falling objects versus employee health . Let it fall , I have insurance for that . But boy can I get worked up when my team is in a tight spot and we are in the super crunch type situation . I have got to be far more patient and develop my mentor attitude alot more . So to everyone who posted concerning that one situation , thank you. I'll take some lessons from it for my behavior , perspectives , and how and when I say things.

1. Dude, you owe Sam an apology. Even if *you* were kidding, y’all had just been through an obvious and understandingly stressful bit of woodworking, so I hope you made sure he knows he is more valuable than a slab of wood. 2. No but for real, kid deserves an apology. Do better. 3. Pour it Dust yourselves off and keep at it! Y’all are a good team who had an inelegant moment. ❤ PS- pls. no cringey apology video, yah? Just commit to being more mindful.

Shit happens bro. Safety of your employees is number one. Make it right with Sam and learn from this situation. Sometimes frustration clouds your judgement on what is really important. Everything can be fixed except human life. Sam did the right thing by moving out of the line of fire.

"Stitch it". Also, there's some great feedback in the comments which some of us (me included) can take to heart to be better human beings; thank you. That said, sorry for the nasty, vain posts.

I always try to keep my comments positive but I agree with a lot of people John owes Sam an apology in public I love his videos but in this one he as the BOSS Should have planned a lot more and had a plan in place for what he wanted the guys to do when it came time to clamp the table together instead of standing there yelling at them for not knowing what he wanted them to do or what he expected to be done. Then to blame Sam for not trying to catch the table not everyone is an X NFL player he’s always bragging about how strong he is but not everyone is that strong and someday he will loss his strength to. And for him not to say anything for over 2 hours to me says a lot about what he meant when he said that.

John needs to have a helper hold the table so he can be free to direct and assist. He is the master craftsman and the lead. But doing the job that takes 0.1% of brainpower could have been given to the less experienced guy

John you are going to lose employees acting like that. remember your not just a boos but part of a team mistakes happen and things break. take a breath bro you have a great thing going for you 1M+ subs. you need to get it together before your channel falls apart. I did not enjoy this video as much as others and I hope to see better team effort next time. best of luck

Honestly think John was trying to be funny, while obviously not happy. He is a youtuber, these projects in the videos are for entertainment first. But the internet does love a good pitchfork mob. Enjoyed the video and look forward to the repair. I think an epoxy pour with the stitched edges would be hella cool. so stitch it & pour it.
