When I didn’t know Jesus or scripture I fasted in an attempt to please God and hear from Him because I was so desperate for God in my life. After 24 hours of not eating, I figured that should be good enough for God, so I went to go make a sandwich as I was making my sandwich I felt a hand on my shoulder, say in an audible and internal voice, “no, go pray “the lightbulb went off in my spirit, and I knew that’s what was missing. PRAYER! I scurried to my bedroom, and I prayed. I said God, I am hungry for food, but I am hungry for you even more if you’re real, give me an answer!. I lost my appetite and did not eat and I continued to bed. in the morning I was awaken by a vision from God That rocked my soul. It was like I jolted up out of a dead sleep. I heard his voice once again say “ Anayah, this is what you will name your daughter” …. I will let whoever is reading this to look up the definition of that name. Just remember the night before I said, if you were real, give me an answer.❤ Mind you I never read scripture. I didn’t know anything about the character of God, or the way that he answers us or about dreams and visions I was just so desperate for God in my life. Blessed are the poor and spirit! Hallelujah.
