It’s more a 5.6 than a 6, they should already have CLAP and AUv3 support, plus modulators instead of having to set an automation lane to modulate a parameter, all modern tools for production implemented by Live or Bitwig long ago.

@jeromeweaver8092 жыл бұрын
I am a Studio One user, and many features are helpful in my productions. I have almost all DAWs for windows, but I keep returning to Studio, where six of my albums have been made available on streaming services. I believe more features are coming soon, like adding CLAP (CLever Audio Plugin), as U-He, Bitwig, and many others, using open source format as a standard for developing their liberal licenses. CLAP is open source and released under the MIT license: No fees, memberships, or proprietary license agreements are required before developing or distributing a CLAP-capable host or plug-in, and the license never expires. In a nutshell, there are no entry hurdles for developers, and plenty of open source projects already benefit from CLAP. Be encourage.

As someone familiar with Ableton and Logic this really looks like a hybrid of the two to me, like they had a lovechild or something! :D Definitely very tempted to grab a license, especially if I can get one on sale. A masterclass would be amazing!

It looks like this update was created to invite new people, make DAW more user friendly and improve workflow for laptop users. Surround sound probably will drop at 6.3 or 6.5. Personally, I think good pitch-shifter instead of vocoder could be better. Overall, all features are great and will improve the workflow. I just wished that we would get more killer features. Hope to see them in future updates.

@@99MUZIK Yeah, I've read the interview. It's still to early to judge. In the software world changes are very slow. It usually take years from idea to quality implementation. I think we should wait for a Studio One 7 release to get full understanding of a bigger picture. I believe Dolby Atmos is on their list, they just want to make it in the right way. To make sure that mixing and mastering work correct in surround, to check rendering options, test how plugins work, CPU optimization. There's a lot of work. Compare it to Nuendo (1000 euro, for a minute))). It has video track, but you have to import only Full HD videos or it will appear stretched out. I am very disapointed in the compromise that Presonus has made and hope that they dont throw out the older and better looking version 3. Protools is charging you double the cost of this upgrade annually so it was hardly free. Ara support, lol they are literally the last DAW to adopt it. Short cuts/ macros is hardly something to brag about. This update is weak and underdeveloped for sure but Protools for last 10 years has been about the same, always behind everyone else on features and they have a def ear to their base. Lets hope that Presonus expands this update at 6.4 and redeems itself. True multichannel support would make this update worth it alone.

Sure I understand staff need to be paid and Fender need to increase their revenue streams but this "upgrade" does not justify the cost not even close.
