Always good to see more West Country guitarists around these here parts 👍 Not long and then “where’s that too?” and other parts of the local dialect being commonplace everywhere. Hi from Pinhoe!

This is going to be super helpful, thanks John! My legato certainly needs cultivation, and great to add something a bit interesting to scale practice too.

Interesting. About a week ago, I was feeling like my legato wasn't improving, so I came up with a pattern that has been very useful for me, and bears some resemblance to Ben's "trill" patterns. It improves finger independence, and it also helps get rid of lazy 1st finger. Everything is legato, no picking at all. Repeat every 6-note pattern 4 times: A. 202101; 303202; 404303 B. 313212; 424323; 414212; 414313 C. 3x132x12, 4x142x12; 4x14x212; 4x14x3x13 Etc. (The "x" means add 1 extra fret between the normal spacing)

A lot of Tom Quayle in there John - (in a good way) - without the retuning. Some very nice ideas.
