I believe back in the 50s or 60s my great grandma and grandpa would travel to all of his shows near them for years. One night my great-grandma had gone to so many shows that he had actually recognized her said something and gave her a rose. To this day my grandma my great grandma's daughter still has signed records from that night.

What a great music show the Beech-Nut Show was! Incredible variety in music. Wish a TV show like this were possible today. Of course modern music (Country, Rock & Pop) would have to get their act together with artists of genuine talent. And Dick Clark was also one-of-a-kind.

I sold the same guitar a J200 to 'Stompin Tom Connors' back here in Canada in the late sixties. A beautiful piece of work. I was working as a salesman for Drouin's Music Store in Timmins, Ontario at the time. Johnny had it on an Album cover with his song Mr. Lumberjack.
@CashPresley328 жыл бұрын
That album was called "Ride This Train", because it had "Lumberjack" on it, but he didn't have a guitar on the cover. It was a pic of him holding a gun, with a train in the background.
@paulhenrydallaire8 жыл бұрын
+CashPresley32 Hi! I know what your saying I have the album, in any case it was a J200. The pic I'm speaking about is Johnny is sitting on a pile of wood in his suit with his bow tie holding a J200 with his name imbedded in the fret board. I think I may have that album also. I've also got 'Everbody loves a nut' album and 'Songs of our soil'
