His songs are so haunting...In the way that you start listening and it envelops you and goes deeper than just your ears. You listen and feel the story. And you never want it to end.

I believe back in the 50s or 60s my great grandma and grandpa would travel to all of his shows near them for years. One night my great-grandma had gone to so many shows that he had actually recognized her said something and gave her a rose. To this day my grandma my great grandma's daughter still has signed records from that night.

I've been in love with this song ever since it hit the airwaves in 1958. I've played and sang it through the years and it is still one of my all time favorites. I first began to notice music on the radio in 1956 rock n' roll/rock a' billy caught my ear and I couldn't sit still. What a truly wonderful time in our history.

What a great music show the Beech-Nut Show was! Incredible variety in music. Wish a TV show like this were possible today. Of course modern music (Country, Rock & Pop) would have to get their act together with artists of genuine talent. And Dick Clark was also one-of-a-kind.

Well you're gonna have to call Alot of radio stations cuz they're playing it everywhere lol so I think you're confused ,it was not this song he hated at first but rather walk the line

I sold the same guitar a J200 to 'Stompin Tom Connors' back here in Canada in the late sixties. A beautiful piece of work. I was working as a salesman for Drouin's Music Store in Timmins, Ontario at the time. Johnny had it on an Album cover with his song Mr. Lumberjack.
@CashPresley32
@CashPresley32 8 жыл бұрын
That album was called "Ride This Train", because it had "Lumberjack" on it, but he didn't have a guitar on the cover. It was a pic of him holding a gun, with a train in the background.

+CashPresley32 Hi! I know what your saying I have the album, in any case it was a J200. The pic I'm speaking about is Johnny is sitting on a pile of wood in his suit with his bow tie holding a J200 with his name imbedded in the fret board. I think I may have that album also. I've also got 'Everbody loves a nut' album and 'Songs of our soil'

lyrics 02:10, i think the writer meant that she was dishonest because she came back to him after the big life and doing and seeing anything , only because it went wrong, and she took for granted that the poor boy was waiting for her, just because he was stuck there and could not do anything else.

Yes.. considering the amount of drugs.. he could have lived 15-20 more years easy without the drugs, he lost the ability to walk and was in a wheelchair at 67. The drugs from 56-68 ( light in 56-58 and than hardcore in 59-62 and than worse from 63-68 ) took a huge toll
