Only johnny cash could walk onto a stage set in a black leather jacket and sing a really great Christmas carol...and make you feel like Christmas...this show is from 1970...and is probably more important in 2023...the moral of the story is to be nice to other people

This is heartfelt, good, clean, true and with family & friends at Christmas from their home to ours along with Jesus, the real reason of the season!! I was 6 then. Feel the same way now as I did then!! Watching this on Christmas Eve 2023!! Better than anything on TV today!! Totally enjoyed myself!! To God be the Glory and may He bless each of us!! Loved this show. I hadn’t seen the entire show before. You know one of my favorite parts? When Mrs. Cash stood up to go to the piano and all the gentlemen in the room stood up. Call me old-fashioned but I miss etiquette like that. Don Everly’s reindeer sweater was the best!!

I met Carl Perkins in the past in 1996 for his book to get signed at a local bookstore. He was awesome told some story about growing up in Tennessee on a cotton field learn to sing the blues from one of the man working on the field. It was kinda long but well worth it. I sit in the frnt row in the book store thete were only 50 people show up lol. I still have the book he signed it and dated it.

I love how they included a duet by Ike Everly and Mother Maybelle playing “Victory Rag" near the end of this show (40:00). You don’t often see Maybelle laugh out loud on film, but they captured the moment. She was so modest, but guitar pickers like Ike Everly, Chet Atkins and Merle Travis would tell you they learned from her records.

I miss shows like these we had back in the 70's the music was better life was better it was simplier not hussle and bussel like today families got together every night after dinner for wholesome sitcoms movies that had a point not shoot em up etc., and when Johnny got up to play the piano all the men stood up I miss good ole' fahioned etiquette it doesn't exist today that's sad only place it still exists which I don't count is the military because you have to stand , but at least it's some sign of respect. I also miss when men just like me nice pair of pants tucked in with a nice pair of shoes today men dress up in big ass ugly baggy sweats unshaven ugly uncut hair it's a disgrace how lazy our country has become their reason is 'I don't care what people think of me" BULL SH IT it's not a reason it's an EXCUSE look in a long mirror and I mean really take a look in a long mirror that is what you are showing to the world a adult that has stopped caring about themselves and I'm guessing by what I have seen is they are easily 40 or more pounds of over weight I'm being easy on the
