Cash’s voice sounds like it’s coming through a radio or over a police radio telling people to evacuate. “I hear the train coming” could mean a big storm or tornado, which are said to sound like approaching trains. “I haven’t seen the sunshine” - clouds covering the sun completely, rain. Then the themes of being stuck. After a hurricane, you can’t leave your house sometimes for days because of floodwater and downed power lines or trees.

If you think about it this remix and the movie have a lot in common. They’re both involving guns and murder to both the plot and the lyrics of the song.
