You can hear the pain in his voice when he said "I forgotten somehow, that I cared so before." And when he says "I don't hurt anymore".. man Cash played real music good music, today's society is all about ass money and weed. All of us here have something in common with Cash, and whatever y'all may be going through always remember keep your head up high and look past the negative you can get to a better place then where you are at right now. Stay strong out there

That is a great tune written by one of Canada's under rated country artists.. Mr Cash does a super job of singing it here. Johnny will certainly be missed.. Our loss is heavens gain...may God Bless! Rip Johnny & June & Mr. Snow.

One of the greatest country songs of all time. 20 weeks at #1 for Hank Snow in 1954. Johnny Cash does an excellent rendition on this timeless song. As he always does.

The only reason why I listen to the great Johnny Cash is because although famous and eminent beyond measure; he still kept Jesus # 1 in his life. That is hard to do. Now Michael Jackson was a great singer and dancer, but the poor man didn't give the glory to Jesus. Mr. Cash was definitively a brother in Christ to me too.=]

I don't know how you can say that. The OP states that he felt more toward Johnny Cash than MJ. That isn't an opinion. It's a fact. If OP said, "Johnny Cash is a better musician than MJ." That is an opinion. How do you know what the OP felt in 2003? Also the statement isn't "pointless". It is the OP's statement towards their feelings toward a wonderful man and musician. It was an expression that leads you to believe that even though they hold MJ in a high regard, they hold Johnny Cash higher.

I'd imagine that it would be true, given that it was his opinion, and still is. Does that make it any less pointless and stupid? Remember that Cash also died old, comparing him to someone dying young is even denser; people like you and the OP shame Johnny Cash.

@@garrett3108 Agreed. He still had it. Some actually PREFER the old raspy voice of John which is something I can't argue much about. He sounds more experienced and matured. Gives a real edge to the songs if you ask me. More emotion. I still love his old stuff though don't get me wrong.

What a pointless reply, lol. If you want to argue phonetics, count me out. It was a shitty statement, pointless and half witted. If you can't see why comparing the impact the deaths of two great performers had on you as stupid, then shame on you.(Especially used as a roundabout way to compliment one of them.) I however will go on to think that the comment was idiotic, and disrespectful.

@Gaff.
@Gaff. 7 жыл бұрын
Oddly, I was looking for the best version and eventually decided I preferred this one to theirs. It's not because of his technical singing ability but maybe his emoting and arranging of the music. Janis Martin and Dinah Washington both have good versions as well. They're all good, really.

***** It really is. I actually went with the Dinah Washington version for what I was doing when I finally decided on one. 'What I was doing' is a mod ofr Fallout New Vegas, if you were curious.
