Johnny Cash received death threats written in blood from the KKK for having Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, and (gasp) he hugged Charlie Pride. God bless the stand he took, showing us the way!

God Bless

Both of these singers were around when their biographical movies were made. And both demanded the truth of their lives. Their failures their drug addiction the people they hurt be put in the movies. That's what sets them apart from modern celebrities who sweep everything under the rug and demand everyone around them sign NDAs.
