In this clip, Cavario started off asking Johnny Chang if he was aware of the crimes that he was committing when he joined Wah Ching at 12, and he stated that young people are always wild and impulsive. He added that his gang was full of kids who were full of anger and rage, which Johnny said led to them being very violent when they went out together. From there, Cavario asked Johnny about former Wah Ching leader Joe Young, and Johnny explained that he couldn’t speak about Joe. Cavario then asked Johnny about his first bid, which he clarified was at youth authority, or YA, which you can hear more about above.

This is like a restaurant you like. It gets successful and now look. The owner isn't cooking in the kitchen anymore. He's a big-shot now. He's got other dudes in the kitchen coming up short. You notice the food isn't as good, but you keep coming back because it takes a minute to register. But before long, you've found another spot.

This is why I don’t like this interviewer. He comes across as condescending. And then, to ego boost himself, he proceeds to basically explain the history of his gang and their crimes to someone who’s actually from the gang. Like, you ain’t winning no brownie points. Ask your questions and keep it moving.
