I met Johnny one evening at Sam Ash Music store in Nashville. Great guy! He won’t do any voices in public though lol. 2 years ago I left a comment on his KZbin channel about how my dad has always been a big fan and wasn’t doing well. Johnny asked me for dads address and sent him a show dvd and personal note in the mail. My dad was pleasantly surprised lol. Unfortunately dad passed away not long after

Why have I not heard of you sooner? Excellent! You know Homer Joy wrote that song "Streets of Bakersfield" ? Maybe you should do a shout to him next time you do your Buck and Yokam material? His late wife Suzan would love it :). Hope to see you live one day.

+Johnny Counterfit Hey Johnny! I just wanted to let you know that you put a huge smile on my face just now! Hearing you do Streets of Bakersfield was just awesome! I'm 35 years old and was a boy when Buck and Dwight done that song together. My Dad introduced me in to them along with Fender Telecasters. I lost my Telecaster in a fire last year :( I learned how to play all Don Rich songs on it and seeing you in this video and the guy on your left playing a Tele brought back some good memories! I have been watching all your videos and I love them! If you ever need a guitar picker let me know! Of course I'll need to barrow a guitar! LOL! Best wishes and Merry Christmas! Your Friend Les Anderson
