I have a law degree and I have to say that this is a great indicator that the person is innocent.
@l.2264
@l.2264 2 жыл бұрын
it is very common for an innocent person, after being wrongly accused, to have 2 reactions: 1 he despairs and collapses; 2 she accepts that the situation is beyond her power to act, and so she behaves as if she has "washed her hands"; "clean convenience".
@l.2264
@l.2264 2 жыл бұрын
an interesting fact is that psychopaths (because they are very good at manipulation) act in this exact way during legal proceedings, because they know that if they appear innocent, they will convince the public. a good example is Ted Bundy.
@l.2264
@l.2264 2 жыл бұрын
when I did forensic psychopathology, my teacher was a great psychologist who diagnosed a famous psychopath from my country, the park maniac. he was so good at manipulation, he even received love letters inside the prison, he received around 1000 love letters in the first month after being arrested. And this, of course, is connected with the paraphilia that some women have about being abused, a serious psychological problem.

@@caricature1997 the attorney was saying that they were going to move on to retelling events that happened at a later date, but the way he phrased it made it sound like they were going to time travel (like actually move forward time) and Depp sarcastically replied that he could feel it happening. An actual lawyer told me this is because they cannot make direct statements when a witness is on the stand. They HAVE to be asking them questions. So this is just a cheap loophole tactic, if he ends everything with "did I read that right?", technically that's still a question. When all he's really doing is reading negative tabloid articles to him. And because technically it's a question to the witness, JD also HAS to answer him every time with yes/no. During this trial he's never been overly dramatic, and when his patience wears thin he uses humor rather than reacting aggressively. I also noticed how he takes his time to think before answering, even if we know what the "easiest" answer could be. Most importantly, whenever there's a video or text shown in court that makes him look bad, he seems overcome with shame rather than angry at Amber Heard who often drove him to that point and even recorded him when he was in pain.

I mean it's definetly possible. The case is about libel, so the impetous is on Depp's lawyers to prove Amber was maliciously lying about abuse in one particular instance and that it had a devasting impact on Depp's career if they want to win the case. I don't think it's a given that he wins because a good lawyer could downplay the accusations in Amber's statement and make a case that Johnny was abusive from the texts Amber kept, etc. I've seen some people speculate that Johnny just wanted to do this so he could air their dirty laundry to get back at Amber, and he doesn't care about winning any money from her. Idk if I totally agree with that, but he's already won in the eyes of the general public so I don't think it matters too much whether or not he wins the case.

Right. Also Heard is incapable of READING these nonverbal cues - in fact she's almost incapable of processing anything other than verbal comms. Starting to believe she has a cognitive disability that's never been treated. It's like she's stuck at 5-6 years old; low level of facial and nonverbal cies, tantrums, low emotional regulation - all of this is way off for 30+ yo person. I'm deeply troubled.for the well being of her child over its lifetime. Heard is like Anna Nicole Smith, without the accommodating and flirtatious personality. She's a train wreck.
