@@MikeTheD I agree. Charisma and like-ability can really go far. Her team doesn’t have it. If she had all the facts and receipts, she still could win regardless, but with all the evidence against her and her sketchy and rude team, it makes them seem even more guilty and like they’re all con-artist.

I do think we have a huge problem in society where we have psychologists wanting to jump very quickly to giving people a label of a mental illness, by looking at statistics and not the person as a whole. I find this Dr to be very unprofessional and I hope the jury takes very little what he said into account.

Absolutely. The sociology of health/illness is 🤯 Thomas Szasz, especially; and R. D. Lang may be essential touchstones for the concerned
@nawawii3750
@nawawii3750 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's one of the reasons the percentage of people with mental or psychology illness is rising. Doctors are eager to frame people with mental illness, and people are getting more and more accepting this framing. Especially narcissism.. this individual trait have been over used, and over abused by doctors and society alike. It's never as bad as people think, because there's a healthy level of narcissism required in every person to have self esteem. Then there's balanced level, then there's high risk level, and finally there's abusive level. People don't understand that, and they just throw narcissism in face of most normal human on earth. If you want to judge how abusive narcissism actually is, just look at Amber Heard. She cut the finger of her husband, she admitted it, in a video tape that's available online, and yet she's spending thousands of dollars a day on fake experts trying so hard to convince jury that JD cut his own finger!!!! That's it for you. Now let's hope world stop framing every person who seek some encouragement from his spouse as narcissist.. there's a massive difference

Just so everybody is aware, Depps lawyer took 19 minutes and 20 seconds before he said "histrionic personality disorder," implying that he was referring to Amber, which means that he hadnt been talking about Johnny and was talking about her the WHOLE TIME. The dude took almost 20 minutes setting Spiegle up and got him to discredit not only his own ethical integrity AS WELL AS tell the whole court and the world that substance abuse and histrionic personality disorder (*both things Amber has been diagnosed with) are direct links to IPV. JD's lawyer is a literal fucking genius, so unbelievably subtle and razor sharp.

As a survivor of mental, emotional, and physical abuse, I look at this through the eyes of myself as a kid. I heard a lot of recordings between Mr Depp and Mrs. Heard. Amber’s words are echos from my past - almost word for word by my abusive father. Johnny’s words are words that I used about 50 years ago. Him trying to get out of a violent situation, my mother tried many times and failed. Somehow, we survived. Johnny is also a survivor.

Same but opposite here. My mother was the abusive one and my father, as my extended family would put it, ‘escaped’ her. Now, in the present, my mother still sometimes uses those abuse tactics, but it’s been toned down to rare moments of anger.

I was wondering how Dr. Spiegel's treats his patients, so I checked his ratings and reviews. Those published before his testimony are a mixed bag, but it's worrying 45% of his patients gave him one star out of five. There were only two reviews, and they were quite scathing: "Dr Speigle killed my step father. My step father was suicidal. He was an alcoholic as well. He had been a patient of Dr Speiegle for years with medication thrown at him. After rehab he never followed up or returned our calls. We called stating he was locked in a room suicidal and he never called us back. When he finally did and said he would follow up and never did. My step dad is dead. Speigle does bare minimum treatment to push meds and then doesn’t care if you die or not." "Horrible and inconsiderate of patient well-being. He took 3 days to get back to me only to tell me that he wasn't going to be filling my prescriptions and to find another doctor, after my provider in his practice left abruptly and no one was left to take her place. He turned his back on me knowing I was out of my medication and I was given the option to just "go to the ER" if I started to feel any worse. I will tell EVERYONE how poorly I was treated by the doctors at EVMS Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences."

He was unable to apply for membership with the American Medical Association for a reason. And if there's anyone wondering why, just one look at this and you can see he's a bit... unethical. The Golden Rule constitutes that no Professional in his Field may make an undue assessment of someone's mental health (i.e diagnose them) without direct one-to-one professional sessions, otherwise it is unprofessional and unethical. You can't make Diagnoses of someone without personal interactions with them--which is why most Psychiatric professionals withhold judgment until thorough analysis of their patient. In this, he was acting like a Forensics Psychiatrist which is a totally different field of expertise, which he affirmed he is NOT one. This guy barely scraped by because he DID get caught out for being unethical, as all of his testimony and diagnosis was based on what he has been told by Amber's team. He has never had any personal interactions with Johnny Depp.

Basic risks to audditors' independence (it is similar in all professional fields): 1. Self review (check your own work so you assume it is right i.e. you are biased) 2. Self interest - You are paid too much or have too much to gain from the outcome 3. Advocacy - You start advocating for a party rather than staying imaprtial and stating facts. 4. Familiarity - You get too cozy with the client, so you may be inherently more willign to accept them at their word. 5. Intimidation - Obvious threat to a person's independence. (e.g. Waking up to a turd in yor bed one morning) How many of these did our fellow "expert" breach? Self interest pushing his job and getting exposure, geting paid way too much for the work. Advocacy in taking a side even while breaching the code of ethics. At least, though we dont know about the turd threat. Seriously the boyfriend was the most professional a few days ago of all these "experts".

He does this by a combination of strategy and natural born characteristics/demeanor. Also having gone through dozens of therapists and recommended psychiatrists, who wanted to shove 12 prescriptions down my throat after meeting me for 15 minutes and never looking me in the eyes, yeah, there’s a lot of terrible people in the field. What JD's lawyer did here was making him admit that the Turd's psych evaluation show that there's as much risk of IPV from her as from JD, if not more, as the Turd was diagnosed with 2 personality traits that are very much correlated to IPV (without counting the drug abuse, which she lied about, so wasn't counted). While JD only has 1 trait, which is drug abuse.

First of all. The goldwater rule says nothing about needing a 'personal' examination. It only warns against diagonsing someone you have not evaluated. This evaluation can take many forms, including reviewing a case, watching interviews, and other evidence. Furthermore, there is a lot of discussion on whether or not this infringes on free speech, as it prevents people with the most knowledge in the field from participating in conversations they are experts in.. Expect a court test on this matter quite soon.

But if I wanted to act like him, I could say that he is exhibiting signs of disinhibition, some grossly disorganized behavior, circumstantial thought process, psychomotor agitation-and very prominent frontal release signs-all of which are concerning for a possible early fronto-temporal dementia (pick’s disease) or maybe due to a substance, including those prescribed. That psychologist or whatever he is has gone rogue. He is arguing against the code of ethics that governs his practice so vehemently it makes you wonder how many rules he breaks or ignores in his practice 🤔

Man this is just painful to watch. The psych guy is trying to talk circles around a lawyer that knows where he's going. Somebody tell this guy he's a terrible "expert" witness.

Here is what i have learned, watching these videos. 1. The justice system is an MMO. 2. A trial is a raid And 3. Lawyers are Healers and Spellcasters, who are experts at min-maxxing.

So ironic that the “expert” said he doesn’t wanna waste anyone’s time and then proceeds to take 20 minutes to answer 3 questions 😂

This lawyer is perfect for this crazy “expert “ because he takes his time to ask questions, doesn’t engage in polemic….. basically he asked couple of questions and let the guy looks crazy

Experts can use hearsay but the whole argument is it is unethical for psychiatrists to diagnose or opine even on TV about a psychiatric condition according to the Goldwater Rule made by the APA. That’s why no psych could come out directly and say Trump is/was a narcissist.

Agreed, I think it was a brilliant tactic. Usually you don't wanna give people power in the court, but I think this lawyer LOVED how this guy demonstrated how not to be a psychiatrist/make an argument for your side in the best way possible. lol

Yeah I’m not a huge fan of him usually but in this case him not being combative worked quite well. He was reasonable and the nutjob destroyed himself more and more the longer it took.
