It's terrifying that she testified that she only needs to hear one side of the story to draw a conclusion about who's the victim and who's the aggressor in a relationship regarding IPV. Insane.

@Ian Visser I don't believe that we can ever actually decipher who is the victim in a couple regarding IPV, without listening to both members of the couple, and clarifying what each is saying. I have been a counsellor working with clients since 2009, and I have learned a great deal from my clients who have come as couples, as well as from individual clients. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️

Couples counseling is not necessary part of one-on-one therapy sessions with patients dealing with trauma and abuse. Perhaps she figured you have unresolved marriage issues instead of actual trauma from abuse and wanted to gain some insight on how things actually are working out and what steps could be made to determine progress. But it is not absolutely necessary to evaluate couples together to determine wether someone is suffering from abuse or is borderline sociopath with some fantasies.

I feel like they needed to drill her more on the bias. How she never testified in a case the male was the abused with the exception of a homosexual relationship. She did some sketchy stuff with there tests, where applied a test that only regards the last 6 months when it came to violence, yet all the other tests time frames were wayyyyy longer. Feel like they should've pointed that out. They also dropped the ball in how they went about what, imo, would be the best line of questioning they had, which was the fact that she said along the lines of "amber doesn't have a history of domestic abuse". Which they could then point out how she does have it. They weren't careful in their phrasing of the question so they ended up having to approach and having to drop that line of questioning.

This is how her testimony is dismantled: 1. She has bias because she will not take the case of a man against a woman 2. She determined AH to be the victim of IPV based on her post-divorce meeting 3. @@superdave8248 Being that everyone who knows Johnny Depp say that he's not a violent man and has testified on his behalf, including his ex-wives and ex-girlfriends (who likely would have carried the brunt of his so-called "abuse", were it any way true), I'd say the only one dominant in their relationship was Heard. She claims he hit her daily, she claims she was scared for her life, yet there exists audio where she ADMONISHES him for ESCAPING conflict, "hiding" in the bathroom, "running away", etc, and admitting to hitting him (but not "punching", because apparently women can't punch or have the ability to hurt men). It's like Godzilla says, someone who is terrified of their supposed abuser would never hit them, punch them, let alone throw a bottle at them, if they feared what it would lead to.

not going to lie, but the whole time that they were using JD's witnesses there were a lot of people saying to cut the opposite team some slack, but this...this just shows how good JD's legal team is, they just completely deconstructed the bias in society towards women. NOT ONCE IN ALL OF HER "HUNDREDS OF EVALUATIONS OF IPV" BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN DID SHE EVER SAY SHE IDENTIFIED THE WOMAN AS THE PERPETRATOR - THAT JUST ISN'T STATISTICAL POSSIBLE UNLESS THERE'S CLEAR BIAS FROM THE VERY BEGINNING BEFORE SHE'S EVER MET THE PARTIES!! As a person who is currently studying to be a psychologist and who comes from a family with at least 3 currently licensed psychologists, this is highly unethical. You CANNOT testify that domestic abuse has happened based on a singular post-divorce meeting with only one partner. In order to suggest abuse there has to be thorough analysis into it, she would have had to at least communicated with JD before testimony and then and only then could she have come to an ethical, expert opinion.

If anything this serves as an advertisement to lawyers that she will serve as an expert on your case if you're defending a guilty woman, you just need enough money. Maybe the clear bias outweighs the exposure she has received, I don't think it's simple to say her career is now ruined though. Perhaps if a few folks hound her past cases after the trial is over to get something done about it.

I think one line of questioning I would have asked: when she says that most of the legal settings she's given her professional opinion for are cases that don't end up going to court, which is why she doesn't often testify in court. I would have asked to clarify whether these cases don't go to court because they are unable to go to court, or if it's because they are simply settled outside of court. If they are simply settled out of court, then you can ask whether she uses different standards for her work based on whether the case is already in court vs whether the case only has the potential to go to court.

If you can make judgments like this, why do we need defendants at all? The plaintiff can tell the judge their perspective and review witness statements, the Judge says “I can assess this situation with only one party of this crime that had two parties in it.” The stupidity of that statement. How does someone not say that out loud, close their eyes and say, “oh Jesus, that sounds horrible out loud” is beyond me. Also. STOP FUCKING ANSWERING QUESTIONS TO THE JURY. People keep pointing out how unbearable Amber's team can be when pressing a topic but damn Depp's are ruthless when following their trails. Theirs is more generally accepted since it gets the results needed to adequately judge this trial. Turd's team finds a scab and kinda picks at it, and points at it like "look how gross that is" hoping it'll shift the whole dynamic of the case. Depp's meanwhile is over here performing surgery, getting real down and dirty about credibility and validity.

Her lawyer's focus is on fishing for answers, whereas the Depp legal team is targeting down their questions, so it's immaterial that the Doc has an open question, because his legal is only asking questions they already know the answers to. I know there is no need or reason for them to do so, I'm just saying it's such a refreshing change of pace, and at the same time they're smartly building the opposition up only to tear them down (ie the witness lady was getting more and more proud and arrogant by the second, lawyer man basically just let her mouth off her "achievements" and also to literally walk herself in a corner)

I agree with you 👍🏾 I have been a counsellor/therapist since 2009, and I am absolutely astonished listening to her. She's a disgrace, in my opinion. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have learned a great deal from my clients who have been couples as well as individual clients. 💖 I always need to listen to both people in a couple to understand how they are experiencing abuse in their relationship, and there is generally room for healing and improvement in both sides of average couples, and some couples have one who is significantly more abusive than the other, like Amber's abuse of Johnny. 😪 I have no agenda for the outcomes in any situation, but I help the couples to navigate their own journey and reach the solutions that are the most appropriate for themselves with their own strengths and healing abilities. 💖 Some do well and stay together, others end up parting, and that is the healthiest outcome in their cases. I remain neutral and support each individual with the journey.
