It’s fascinating how EVERYONE on Amber’s team so far has displayed the same vibe: haughty, condescending, argumentative and defensive, aggressive and especially, they cannot answer a simple yes or no answer without going on a tangent and adding needless fluff. Disheveled manic doc here (doc Brown! You’re back from the future!!) looks like he’s been in his own prescription cabinet a tad too much himself... he’s the same age as Johnny, yet could pass as his dad. Yikes! Imagine being in a fragile state and needing support, and that dude shows up?? He’s terrifying! He speaks of narcissism whilst displaying the signs himself: he’s arrogant, egostical, condescending, believes he knows it all and everyone is below him, argumentative, likes the sound of his own voice and clearly doesn’t like to be told to shut up or follow directions. He’s a pill pusher, not a therapist. Bad move from Amber’s team yet again, I think he irritated the heck out of everyone so hopefully the jury as well! 🤔🤡😅💩🐝🍿🎪💉🎥

I'm not on Amber's team but so far I've been loving the psychiatrists testimony. I'm not seeing the signs of arrogannce or condescension that you've mentioned. Quite frankly, he reminds me a lot of Shannon Curry, and I think that the 2 of them speak in a very similar manner. I suspect that if you're on team Amber, Shannon Curry was a bithch and this guy is awesome. And of you're team Johnny, you find this guy to be a bithch and Shannon Curry to be awesome. I haven't spoken to anyone about their opinions on these 2 so I can't confirm. But I'm not (officially) on either side and I really like both doctors.

I find it interesting how the psychiatrist became increasingly closed of with mouth blocking, fidgeting, stuttering, swinging his chair back and fourth etc when being cross examined. He was very defensive probably because he knew he had to be on Amber’s side and felt that his expertise was threatened because he couldn’t be truly honest. He has a lot of narcissistic traits himself, he’s very worried about what he says and what makes him look good and ultimately making Amber look good. It’s clear as day! “Thank you for plugging my book” sir… this isn’t an interview, this is a legal process.

So let me get this straight. This "doctor" based part of his diagnosis by watching Depp's movies. I'm just a lowly retired mental health worker, but when we reviewed cases with a psychiatrist, we always gave a provisional diagnosis. If we suspected that a patient didn't meet all the criteria for a mental health diagnosis, we gave a R/O - rule out. Which means, a suspicion of a mental illness. For example: A provisional diagnosis: Bi-polar 2 d/o (because the patient met all the criteria and it's listed first as the diagnosis is what is causing the most problem), PTSD, r/o Dissociative d/o, r/o Personality d/o nos (not other wise specified). And..... 50% of people who use substances go on to commit IPV. I don't know, I've never seen a person who smokes weed go out and beat the shit out of a significant other or someone else or a heroin user or a huffer...... Imo, this guy is full of himself, is distant from patients, and I would absolutely hate to have him be my psych doc.

"50% of people who use substances go on to commit IPV. I don't know, I've never seen a person who smokes weed go out and beat the shit out of a significant other" Using a substance, even an illegal substance, recreationally is not substance abuse/substance use disorder. Substance abuse, by definition, requires the substance in question, be it alcohol or weed or oxy or heroin or whatever, legal or not, to damage a person's life, whether they get fired from a job, land themselves in prison, alienate their support network, etc. Whatever. Starting with that definition of substance abuse, it's not surprising that 50% of people would likely qualify under the latter umbrella. There's also overlap. Most "real" addicts screw their lives up royally and don't limit themselves to JUST one type of self-destructive behavior. The expert in question also testified that his definition of IPV is not exclusively limited to physical violence. Any pattern of abuse could potentially qualify under the expert's definition.

This is so insane. How did they keep letting this “Dr” talk literally about nothing? I thought this was a trial on the defamation of Johnny Depp, how does an “expert witness” give witness statement without having spoken to the person their being a witness about? Johnny Depp has been open about his struggles with sobriety, and substance use. Amber beards team is trying to correlate his using with the “alleged abuse” and it just doesn’t fit, all the evidence doesn’t fit that he “abused her” during usage. They’re trying to fit a circle into a triangle peg, Ambers team is reaching and it’s horrible to watch. Each witness has stated they’ve never seen Johnny get violent or physical with her, them constantly trying to bring up his drug use that’s he’s been open about is becoming tiring. If that’s their whole case, his drug use? then they have no case. I hope the jury sees through these tactics. I hope Johnny Depp gets justice

Dr Spiegel is obviously not used to being questioned. His position in academia and as a psychiatrist allows him to "lecture" to others and its quiet evident that he can't answer a question directly and doesn't like to be questioned. He wants to constantly "lecture" to others his knowledge rather than answer the question directly. He was very comfortable with his relaxed attitude and body language when given free speech by Heards lawyer. Well done to Mr Depps lawyer with his line of questioning, researching of physiactric terminology, knowledge of testing and keeping Dr Spiegel on his toes. Watch the full trial and listen to the tapes. Not one person who’s ACTUALLY watched the trial, reviewed the evidence and listened to the tapes would think that “they’re both toxic” or “they’re both abusive”. That is for a reason. A lot of people were “pro Amber” when this all started. Review the evidence and you will see why everyone is on Johnny’s side, and I mean 100% on his side. He hasn’t been abusive to her in any way, form or shape. Unless you consider calling someone names after hours and hours of being bullied physically, emotionally and psychologically. This isn’t a case of “both were…”. Not at all. This is a case of an evil cruel person ruining an innocent’s, a good person’s life who has been nothing but generous and kind and loving towards them. I know it’s hard to believe. But the evidence proves it. I am myself astounded at how frickin evil this woman is. It just…baffles me.

@@gerdaklingenboeck118 yes I grew up with an alcoholic father, who also dealt with many other drug addictions and for a lot of my childhood he was physically and verbally abusive to my sister and I, COMPLETELY regardless of if he was using a substance or not. You see, my father is diagnosed with many mental illnesses and disorders. Many are similar to AH, including BPD, narcissistic PD, etc. Those issues that he refused to admit and get help for is what caused him to justify and intensify his damage. However, on the flip side, my current partner struggles with alcohol addiction. He uses this much like JD and all of his witnesses seem to attest to, he self medicates and deals with his internal struggles by drinking and doing drugs, like MANY people do. HOWEVER, my partner is THE most gentle man I have ever met. He has never laid a single finger on me, any time he gets the least bit frustrated he chooses to walk away and take some space so he doesn’t even get the chance to escalate his anger. Which can be exactly heard on the audio clips with JD. Sometimes he’ll drink then, sometimes he won’t. However, that does NOT change how he interacts with me, it’s does NOT make him more violent. If anything, most of the people in my life who do self medicate with substances or have in the past are calmed down by those substances. It’s extremely gross and hurtful to generalize all of a group when it’s simply not true. Addiction/substance abuse does NOT automatically mean any other type of abuse or harm of any sort is guaranteed to be inflicted on anyone outside of one’s self. JD liver was definitely abused by JD himself by drinking so much- but according to all other evidence- there is not a single sign that he ever abused any human person.

It's Depp's lawyer, Wayne Dennison, who deserves the credit. HE made it happen. I wonder if that's Dennison's style. If it's a way of making these witnesses see the mistakes and contradictions in their testimonies and knowledge. I honestly think he's better than the other lawyers on the team, if I can compare. I mean, Vasquez is very reactive, I've noticed. She's quick, but could step up her game if she did more research and took the time to learn the lingo that is used and practiced in these witnesses' fields of profession. I mean, Dennison takes his time and is adorably (and perhaps deceptively bumbling in his speech, like Columbo, I'm tellin ya!), but he KNOWS what he's talking about. He surprises the witnesses with his knowledge. It's so entertaining!!! #DennisonBroughtIt

God this psychiatrist is severely pissing me off. There’s so many points in his testimony where he contradicts himself but the main point that irritates the hell out of me was when he said narcissists will apologize. as someone who’s endured narcissistic abuse my whole life, that is NEVER something I’ve experienced. Narcissists don’t apologize because they are unable to see anything wrong with their behavior. They may say something along the lines of “ I’m sorry but… you did this and this” and push the blame back on you just to gain back control in their minds, but they will never genuinely apologize for their actions. I think those characteristics are FAR more consistent with ambers behavior than with Johnny. if you compare the two side to side you will see that undeniably. Just looking at Johnny’s behavior sure maybe you could find some TRAITS of narcissistic behavior but you could surely see that with literally anyone you examined if you were looking for it, however his empathy for others is enough to see he does not have narcissistic personality disorder ( which is far different than simply have some narcissistic traits)

I've also endured narcissistic abuse my whole life and I have two slight disagreements here. 1. A fake apology is still an "apology" in the sense that the words "I'm sorry" still come out. I'm only on hour 3, minute 11 so maybe I haven't gotten to that part yet, but I might guess that he isn't specifying whether the apology is fake or genuine. 2. Because many narcissists go through cycles of idolizing and devaluing you, there are times where the narcissist will FEEL sorry. My mother never gave any sincere apologies but I had a boyfriend who used to cry and tell me that he didn't deserve me. Did he ever change? No. He felt justified in abusing me. But he did feel bad for hurting me, even though he didn't really belive he was wrong. He would go back and for between believing he was a monster and had no soul, to believing that he was the victim of a girlfriend who mistreated him I almost think about me and my daughter. Sometimes I have to punish her but I feel bad when I do. It's like narcissists "punish" for selfish reasons, even when you're a full-grown adult (or over punishing you as a child, which my mother did.) and then feel sad that that they 'had to do it.' Bottom line, I agree with you on narcissists and apologies, but I suspect that you're misunderstanding the psychiatrist.

Also, Ms. Arnold has the nerve to mention how Johnny is wrong by suing Amber because he is reigniting old issues that keeps her from getting jobs. Are you freaking kidding me. What Dr. Spiegel is doing is despicable. He's bending his expertise to what HE thinks (or wants or feels more comfortable with and used to) to be true. Science and medicine don't work at all as he claims. The amount of biases contained in his testimony is astonishing. And of course that makes it much more unethical since a lawyer doesn't have the time, while difending their client, to become a psyhiatrist (or an epidemiologist) right away. I am speechless

He is absolutely ridiculous. Any reputable doctor like him would never jump to the assumption that cognitive delays are due to addiction. For him to come to this conclusion, Johnny would have to be clean and sober for a year or more and a full dsm5 assessment would need to be done to rule out autism, adhd, etc.

At one point he says something along the lines of "people get to their bad to sleep no matter how tired they are". He definitely wasn't tired enough. Tired enough people can fall asleep on rocks in a desert(I've seen it first hand) . Compare that to JD crashing on the floor with his head on a piece of furniture and you'll see how that can happen and even be pretty comfy until you wake up with neck pain

I have not seen a single evidence of JD being abusive. Do I see a toxic relationship between the two? Yes, very much so. But in the end of the day, that is not what this is about. Do I think JD abused Amber? Then the answer would be a astounding no. Watching the whole trail so far it rather seems she was the abuser in this case.

Who is he trying to fool? Because this knucklehead claims to be up for hours as a resident means somebody on that drug can’t fall asleep wherever they may lay? Isn’t it interesting how these expert witnesses, who get paid thousands for their performances - I mean, testimonies, still don’t seem to understand basic courtroom etiquette and especially, what constitutes hearsay? And that you have to shut it immediately when objections are raised, and wait for the judge’s direction to proceed?? I have so many issues with the movie industry expert. First, she didn’t talk to Johnny, but she did with Amber so she can relay HER perception on how the bad press has affected her?? The cluster B master gaslighting manipulator, we’re still going to pretend that we can rely on whatever comes out of her mouth?? Amber, a role model?? As an opportunist? Nobody knew who she was before Aquaman. Comparing her acting abilities and status to Momoa? Please. She’s getting bad press because of the things SHE did: her behaviour and lies during the deposition videos, her 💩 the bed and manufacturing evidence, her own drugs and alcohol use, her sneaking men into Johnny’s penthouse whilst he was away. Why would L’Oréal want to be associated with a woman who doesn’t know makeup application 101, describing how you apply corrector ON TOP of concealer and foundation, and calling a correcting kit by its opposite, a theatre bruise kit?? Don’t underestimate the public’s intelligence by saying they’re just “Johnny fans” or bots if they’re finding her behaviours reprehensible, like we can’t form an educated opinion by watching the trial and reviewing the evidence. The recordings are especially damning for her, and SHE took many of these pictures. I’m not enraged and disgusted by her “because Johnny is suing her”, but because she’s already been caught in several lies and perjuries and especially, by the fact that by self-appointing the title of “public figure of DV” she’s USING the plight and suffering of women who have actually been victims of domestic violence to create a personality she doesn’t have. Shame on her, and her former pack of free-loading, perjuring, enabling vultures. 💰💰😒😤
