Take a trip to total wine to grab some beers for the night and walk away with a song stuck in your head for over 24 hours. Thought they were a modern indie band till I realized they were behind shattered dreams. May synthwave never die.

This song played on Apple music when I was listening to a shattered dreams station. Don’t know how I slept on this one. Definitely deserves a lot more love than it has.

I love reading these comments. I like reading from those who live outside of the U.S.A. To me, the music from the 70's & 80's will never grow old, or, fade away. Especially the 80's, it was just a special period. So much more talent. None of this "autotune" to cover up the FACT that a lot of singers out there really can't sing or write decent music. I'm SO grateful for places like KZbin where I can go and chill out "back in the day" with acts like Johnny Hates Jazz, and Swing Out Sister!

I totally agree. I was in High School during the 80s. The 80s, I believe, was the peak of modern music creativity...from Pop, Punk, New Wave, Techno, Jazz, R&B, Alternative...every new creative technique, from music writing to sound engineering, happened in the 70s and 80s. AND...musicians back in the 70s and 80s were REAL musicians who knew how to play their respective instruments. These musicians performed live with their instruments with so much skill and clarity. Fast forward today, a lot of musicians can barely play an instrument, much less hold a tune. No wonder, a lot of 80s songs are being covered now and the remakes sound horrible. When I heard No Doubt's "It's My Life" by Talk Talk, I was so upset at how they wrecked the song. Right then I knew, the end of the world was upon us. LOL!

I was just listening to "Shattered Dreams" in the 80s New Wave Radio room on iTunes Radio, and remembering that I used to hear it now and again on the radio years ago, I did a bit of "where are they now?" web surfing on JHJ. Imagine my surprise to find that they had recently cut their first album in 22 years, long after New Wave fell out of vogue. And I am really impressed by just how good "Magnetized" is. You could drop this song right in the middle of 1987, and no one would be the wiser that it had been written 25 years in the future. Well done, Clark and Mike. Keep up the good work. I hope you get some real air time this side of the pond (looks like "Magnetized" has already had its run in the UK).

Love this track. Always loved "Turn Back the Clock" and "Shattered Dreams" and this shows the guys haven't lost any of the talent that made those tracks so great. It's just a shame we don't see talent like this on tv now, all we ever see now is "No Direction". I'd love to see this performed live on tv, and it would be great to see SD and TBTC performed live again.
