This era still cold war I belive that in turn created fun music to lighten mood, upbeat songs like this with serious lyrics, and good slower songs. In a way fear of war brought out the artists and passion.

Because you needed genuine talent back then - something that is still present today but diluted by the not-so-good artists who hide behind autotune & production tricks. Notice how songs had lots of different sections back then? 50% of today's output is just the same thing looped over & over. Jingles as opposed to songs.

I liked this song at the time but was never a fan of "Shattered Dreams." A few years back, I found this CD at a thrift store for about 35 cents and listened to it just for the heck of it. I was blown away and really impressed. There could've been at least 2 more singles released off it, but since the album didn't sell well (it peaked at #56 in the US), I guess their record company decided not to bother with it.

Absolutely fantastic as some of other songs from the same team. Keep in mind, that was the time of great style which included fashion, presentation and synth pop. Analog synthesizers and other instruments added icing to the cake of wonderful and unforgettable lyrics and voices. Comparing to 2023 which is nothing less than a garbage, 80's are time to remember forever!! Even though I like Jazz, I will settle for Hates Jazz anytime.

Please take me back to the good 80s. We were much happier back then, even without a cell phone and the internet. Today's music has no soul or feeling.

Brilliant! JHJ contributed to my fun teenage years late 80's and beyond. God bless you guys. Enjoyed Magnetized and now the new album in 2020. Don't stop the music is my favorite.
