He is not only a phantastic player and great teacher - also seems to be a heck of a nice guy without any diva-attitude. He doesn't try to be hip or funny at any cost. He simply likes to share what he loves: His music. Johnny is definately the type of guy you want to drink a beer with.

Thank you Johnny from Costa Rica.

Git inspired with Johnny Hilland. Been a metal and blues player all my life. Trying to transition to country music. Not a easy task. Been listening to a lot of Jerry Reed lately ( God rest his soul) and just today looking for Dobro instruction I happen upon Mr. Hiland showcasing the Reeves Space Cowboy 100 watt head. Or something to that affect and I almost tripped on my guitar cable. Totally ripping, totally captivating, totally inspired. Thanks Johnny Hilary. You’re my new guitar hero!

I have always been of the opinion that those who are gifted with God given talent should share and teach their talent to those of us who are less gifted. Itzhak Perlman, for decades has shared his talent with those less fortunate in talent. Johnny Hiland carries on this tradition with a wonderful set of videos but he does it in a way that is geared for even a beginner. I am very obliged to Johnny for this and I am certain anyone learning this technique is as well!!
