A treasure of a show ! Adorable and funny. How fun to see Ross Martin long before his Wild Wild West days. He'd use that professor shtick on that show too. Also fun to see Reta Shaw who of course was in The Ghost & Mrs Muir, Bewitched and a number of other movies and shows. Thank you for sharing this !

I remember this from when I was 4 and 5 years old. You're right. Few people seem to remember. I had confused Duckweather with Jerry Lewis -- and I'd forgotten the other characters -- but the puppets are clear to my mind's eye. Thanks for sharing this. It's very satisfying to time-warp to those early days.

Most of the commenters here who remember watching this largely forgotten series, have to be like me, in their late 60s-mid 70s...nice to know seniors are using youtube to stroll down memory lane...

Ross Martin played the professor , 8 or 9 years before he would play Artemus Gordon.

I know of only two episodes of the show that are available for viewing. This one, and one other involving TV repair. I had no idea 32 episodes were made! Did they end up in the harbor during the infamous DuMont dump? I sure would love to get my hands on all the others. A very unique and entertaining kid's show.

I had such a crush on Dexter when I was a kid. Even worse than the one I had on Rocky Jones, Capt. Midnight, Sky King and Ricky Nelson. Now that I think about it, I was such a tramp at the age 9. CVD

Was every kids show in the 50's sponsored by candy? The dentists should've gotten equal time!
