I am more in love with Johnny more than I ever was with Morrissey. F that guy. Marr is the fractalization afterglow of enlightenment from the adolescent dark state the Morrissey still represent and never grew from. Seem Marr’s purpose was for the Smiths to actually get off the ground and last so Morrissey can spew his negativity within the beautiful framing Marr provided. He’s never grown up, meanwhile Marr is revealing himself as the ground from which all the generations of our teen angst got embraced, processed and now, let go.

Not a lot of people know this, but, it has always been Mr. Marr's job to sort things out. Seriously. Check it out. If it wasn't for him, The Smiths would not have lasted five months, let alone the five years they did. Anyhow. Here is Mr. Marr soothing the souls of old fans of The Smiths - who really ought to know better because - Morrissey's always been like that. Always. Anybody claiming otherwise just did not have their eyes open fully. Nevermind. Doesn't mean you cannot enjoy The Smiths any longer because, that is just ridiculous. I have all the LP's. What difference does it make (smirk) whether I play them or not? Exactly.

Lowlife is a solid album as well, check out "Sooner Than You Think," one of my all time favorite NO tracks. Up to that album was basically their golden run, but tbh the all-singles Substance is a good album and presents its own argument for their dance numbers. I don't listen to anything by them that comes after.
