Chiquis, I can tell that you will be a great parent. When you said that you didn’t give up on Johnny and you knew he was going to be okay-you really parented with guidance, compassion, and patience. You knew what he needed and instead of projecting yourself or what others thought, you observed, listened, and parented the way he needed to be parented--that’s beautiful.

@@guadalupedelgado2436 you are aware of all the trauma they all went through, right? Especially Johnny and he was very young when he lost both of his parents. Of course he is going to need a lot of support over time to try to overcome that trauma. It seems that you have a simplified understanding of what parenting is and how trauma can affect people. Maybe learn more about that? Idk what to tell you.
