These young interviewers should study Dick Cavett. He interviewed some of the most iconic musicians in the late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s, Janis Joplin, David Bowie, John Lennon..he in fact interviewed Janis twice, and then she was dead, those interviews are a vital historical archive, because he allowed Janis to speak for herself..you see who she was, and where she was musically and culturally. If you haven’t watched any Dick Cavett interviews, do. And Johnny, it’s good to see you back. Your music helped me through a rough patch, just after I was diagnosed with CPTSD, with severe depression and anxiety and had simply just shut down and was thinking that I really should just give up and die..I was just going through KZbin trying to find new rock music and stumbled upon Bath Salts, and although my condition wasn’t substance related, I related absolutely to the lyrics and the music video and it was electric guitar, drum and bass and a great singer..it made me feel less alone, and relit a spark of hope and life in this old school rock chick. In fact Serotonia, Black Feather, Little One, Lydia, My Name Is Human, your songs put life back into me, and made me start to feel things again, because a whole lot of really bad things happened over a very short time period, on top of a lifetime of dv and I had just shut down emotionally..you were so open and honest in your songs about what was happening to you, mentally and emotionally, and you reached a lot of people, plus you rocked!!! You are a very special, gifted person, and the world is a better place for having you in it..go out there and do what you do best..reach the people who have become separated from themselves in some way, through loss, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship endings..and rock on!!!

She continues to put herself in the same category as Johnny when clearly she is just a VJ and Johnny is an actual artist in the industry. One that can write and compose music is in a league far higher than this lady. But what I love about this conversation being a discourse analyst is that Johnny doesn't challenge or overstep this obvious disproportion. He allows her to be an equal even though she's clearly not within that industry. Also she is clearly dominating the conversation overstepping his answers to her questions. Not allowing him to finish answering her questions at times. And then Johnny is actually asking her questions at times where he does active listening even when she veers off the topic of the question and doesn't really answer the question There's a little bit of frustration that Johnny is exhibiting yet he doesn't outwardly show it to the point of making anyone in the conversation uncomfortable or the audience I know a lot of people believe Johnny is vain, full of himself and somewhat narcissistic. My observation is he's clearly not that type of person, because when his control of this conversation is threatened he does not try to re-establish that control. Does not become passive aggressive and continues to be inviting to the person that is clearly trying to control the conversation. He's clearly an empath and Savage as fuck

@Roy Jameson man it's kind of a give and take with them having seen them throughout the years. Musically they are phenomenal. But you can definitely tell the band is about having fun with each other almost as much as it is performing for the audience. Stopping in the middle of the most exciting parts of songs, setting his guitar down to go get a drink and a bump, constantly hugging his bandmates a little too close, I don't give a fuck but it's just weird mid song, getting through a song a little more sloppy than it needs to be..... I got a set list and pick and they only played about 12 songs with Encore. If they weren't fucking around so much they could have fit at least five more songs for us.... Great show. It's just like..I would appreciate if they got more into the music instead of fucking around w each other. Last time they played the wolf and melted my face off. This time they played a bunch of metal that had the crowd moving but not exactly my favorite Tunes. They skip little one which bums me out. They played canals like right off the bat which was fucking awesome. I wish they had the drive and focus they had in 2015 with the talent and expertise they play with now. Was a good show. I think last Pointfest here in St Louis was better. The Denver show was killer but I was having girlfriend issues so I was a little distracted 🙄

I think the reason that Johnny says he's not fulfilled is because he has that hole in his heart that can't be filled by drugs or fame or money or women or anything of that sort. Hope he finds Jesus one day there is true joy in him and peace. I see this with many big artists in the industry their eyes can be blue but yet they are so dark- full of spiritual darkness. Im not saying this as a condescending thing since I been there myself. I tried everything and never was happy never fully content no matter how good things went (no im not putting myself in the same category as Johnny don't worry I'm saying this as a small musician/artist and mostly human being like everyone else). When I found Jesus or he found me :D thats when nothing of the world mattered anymore and I was not dependent on anyone elses views or what I owned I didn't have the desire for any of the things I tried before and all the demonic encounters at daylight and in my sleep and the horrible voices in my head were gone as well as unforgiveness and anger in my heart. Was wiped away in a literal second. Couldn't believe it myself what happened so I tested it by trying to be angry but I couldn't. I didnt even remember how anger felt. Like my brain had a restart and I wasn't on any meds or substance or anything like that. I couldnt cuss anymore like someone held my tongue. Nobody is beyond redemption.
