This message goes out to PAT. Brother, I want to congratulate you a million times over. I am an ex-addict myself, 15 years clean, so I know how hard it was to step away from that. You will be tempted, but the longer you can resist the more momentum you will build up until you will eventually not think about getting high. You can do anything you put your mind to. Whatever you dream of doing, start the journey now....one foot in front of the other. Love you man!

And please don't be too dejected if relapse happens. It took me so many times and I would put together a bit of time sober here and there. But something would happen and I would get high again. I had a few months sober, relapse for 2 days, and almost gave up entirely. But I decided to try one more time...... and that was 17 years ago... 17 years sober. lost so many of my friends and family to addiction. They would put a bit of time of sobriety together..... relapse...... let the guilt eat them up.... and give up. Relapse is a part of recovery period if it happens, don't give up. It's just a speed bump

The selflessness of helping people that are struggling and the IMPACT we can have have on someone’s life. This video really just blew me away & made me so emotional. This dude even gives me hope! Im 34 and have been off opiods/opiates (had to get off suboxone, was a test rat for 8 years straight) since 2017. At 15 I was at my first rehab. My late teens and most of my 20s were me just keeping up, trying to not be sick. I kept jobs, had a vehicle n stuff but once I finally hit rock bottom, my family said they could see it in my eyes, that I was done and tired of it. I call our generation, Gen Rx, I had to get off social media (mainly Facebook) back in the day because I heard about a friend or old schoolmate OD at least once a week or more. It was sad. But today, I just finished the last of my xmas shopping and here in about an hour im leaving for our big Christmas party at my Cousins half a million dollar Home that they used to not let me come to. As someone who’s lost his father from addiction it’s nice to see this glad he’s doing the right thing for his kids.

As a Philly native, having had family and friends lost to addiction, and driving down Kensington Ave everyday this was the best Christmas gift I've ever got. Thank you Brandon, for helping to bring the tragedy of drug addiction in my city to light. Too many people in Philly are complacent with the fact that people are suffering. Seeing my actual neighbors, have a platform, clothing and warm meals is an irreplaceable feeling. Always love and open arms here in the city of brotherly love.

It means so much to see you carrying about people that are frequently overlooked. I've been sober 7 1/2 years by the grace of God. It's amazing how one moment of taking the time to let someone know their loved can change a life. This video felt different than a lot of the other give back videos. It was genuine and not for clout or money

7 months sober from alcohol, it’s amazing. Father of a wonderful 9month boy. Engaged to the greatest woman I’ve ever met.

Congrats on your son being born and congrats on your sobriety. I am 10 months sober from alcohol myself and an older gentleman who has been sober 20 years gave me the best advice EVER. He told me this "The bartender and liquor store clerk don't care how long you have been sober." I live by that day by day and that's what keeps me sober. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

the guy at 17:20 that has the fat wallet from begging and also just exploited your charity for food he could afford on his own is super scummy. Bad examples like that are why so many people are cautious to help the homeless!
@stevenroyer87316 сағат бұрын
I just saw that and came here to see what other people said. I'm not surprised at all, some people just love living off handouts and exploiting charities for people who really need it
@oiBashyy5 сағат бұрын
"from begging" is just your assumption, and people arent just not helping homeless because of things like that, majority of the people would just rather walk by and ignore them, how do you know this guys situation, that could be all his money right there, id bet youd rather see food go to waste then have it be given out

Seeing Pat get clean is fucking amazing man. Lost my bro to a suspected opioid overdose earlier this yr. I remember my brother being the exact same way as Pat was in that first video, out of it, loopy, dizzy, everything and man that brought some memories back. Thank God Pat was able to get clean and I'm praying for everyone else out on those streets who aren't so that they might find a way off those same streets.

I'm from around the way, and this is incredible. A lot of people in the area just give up trying to help. Knowing from my own experiences, it really feels like there's not much you can do to help someone that's stuck down there. I'm really happy to see this. Congratulations, Pat!!! Thank you Tyler for not just being a schmuck and showing you care on a personal level.
