It truly was. I loved that album though my early teens and still do. Why he never got the chance to do a follow up the following year before the the 70's was out is a shame. The line up on this track is the best. A supergroup of Johnny Thunders. Phil Lynnote. Paul Cook & Steve Jones could have been so great. Thunders only did one gig to promote the album and it's a shame Cook and Jones didn't even bother to turn up.

I got in a fight with Johnny in a parking lot after show in Mpls. when I was 20 years old. He pissed me off and hit him over the head with a vintage Models Case. And damn if the bottle of hootch I had in there with rolls of film and other rock girl accouterments didn't daze him halfway to ground! Fortunately for Johnny in his already fkd up state a bouncer I'd known since I was 16 told me " that's enough!" In retrospect it's hysterical. Actually it was hysterical then to the truth! A bunch of ppl can say they got high with or screwed Thunders, I can say I beat him over the head for his BS with a 1950s Hookers Bag! ROCK AND ROLL! Gotta love it.....

I managed to keep some sort of discipline and not use the way street junkies used it (water from toilets for example), hygiene came first, and with the help of methadone to keep off it for a while. I'm on methadone since 1972. My last shots were during the late '70s . Good thing is , I still get a rush from methadon., or else wouldn't have bothered with the hassle.
