This is Johnny's long program at the 2004 national. Johnny skated a perfect program and recieved a perfect 6.0 and got his first national title.

This program is so beautiful, and the moment he sees his 6.0 is one of my favourite moments of all time in the sport. Thanks for having this up for everyone to see! :)

I was there (about 7 rows up from the ice), and his FS was absolutely incredible. The reaction from the audience damn near blew the roof off of Phillips Arena.

Love this guy. Hope he can live up to his potential - he is so talented. No one comes close to his grace and style. Go Johnny!

Can't stop watching this...this Nationals performance was breathtaking. Nothing was lacking, even his steps fIew across the ice. Thought he would be mutiple-time world champ by now. He moves like no other man on the ice. He has a lightness, flow and position you cannot teach. I think sometimes he might be his own worrst enemy w/ the drama of the last few years. His skating of 2004-2007 was simply brilliant. Some of the best skating , IMHO, that has ever happened.

Johnny Weir is the best thing to hit ice since vodka. This was perfection.

"He has a lightness, flow and position you cannot teach." That's what I notice most about him too...he appears almost weightless as he glides across the ice.

He is just beautiful to watch. That's all that you can say, really. Whatever it means to be a skater, Johnny gets it.

Johnny was sooo good then. Gorgeous posture, light jumps, & fast. Not so fast now with all the steps required in the new judging system. Plus, now I think his programs look a little "manufactured" ..like he is trying too hard. Back then it was just beautiful music and pure movement, now every program is like a life story.

Michael Weiss' fake clapping and "I'm so nervous" gestures make me want to puke.
