Tanjuro Naruto Deku Ichigo Goku If anything, it's a great critique of how you shouldn't bother being kind to evil people. And how non violence can be dismissed in the short run if it's maintained in the long run. I hate when that is made to be a conflict for a character because they're just operating on altruism. Not character based decisions. Star Wars had an episode about this in the Clone Wars cgi animated series. Where the Duchess of Mandalor is a pacifist to the point where she won't kill a terrorist. Unfortunately, because of all the shitty sequel series, Anakin has to be the one to kill the terrorist and they play the dark vader theme or some shit like that to imply ,"he's becoming evil" despite these seemingly cold decisions also being Anakin's smartest decisions.
