Might a future software update bring a feature similar to the “lightness” setting on Vbar? We’re kind of spoiled with that on the Logo 200. It does help these micros feel closer to bigger helis. And how about the ability to set up different tuning parameters for multiple banks like vbar? I am impressed how well the heli can be tuned with the basic settings available on the ofs3. It’s no vbar but the fact it’s this good out of the box, and in small form factor, you’re on to something here for sure.

I'm a little confused, as I'm about to get into this hobby. If I buy an M2 Evo MK2, and a Radiomaster Boxer transmitter, I also need to buy a separate receiver? Or I can bind the Boxer to the M2 without it? Also, if I change the settings in the app, will it override the settings in the transmitter? Thank you!

1: Will the OFS3 be sold separately? 2: Does telemetry only work with ELRS so far since SBUS doesn't support telemetry, only SBUS2. 3: How do you avoid others from logging in over Bluetooth and changing your settings? On most micro helis today, it is possible to literally log on mid flight without any password or verification which can be dangerous.

is just a sugestion @jonas, for this litle helis , as it came to be a beginer heli, Horizon mode like on RF2 it was a very good option as learn heli i think, since you can fly as a normal 3D and do almost all on Horizon mode

@Johnny31297 yes on Rotorflight2 Horizon mode, let you do soft 3D well a bit more than that , is like train the manuvers with safe on , you leve the stick and it self level , up right or inverted depending if the heli is most up right or inverted, inverted you let the stick you only need to Control colective, is very cool for safe train and than go to acro 3D for full Control , since on Horizon mode the heli get a litle rigid , i like it to learn, than wen i feel confortable, i do the same on acro 3D , i hope you understand my English 🤭

Looking awesome. Can you tell me what settings to use to make it feel locked in like a Vbar? The older OMP units simply didn’t have the settings required to make that happen. Idk what’s equivalent to their paddle sim, precomp, style, agility, etc. or what settings combine together to simulate those.

@@Johnny31297ok. So 3 flights in. Defaults better than vbar, nah. BUT… a few tweaks have made it 100x better than any of the previous OMP FBL units. A few more tuning flights and it might actually be on par with Vbar. That’s huge. This means no more hacking 3-1 board/ESC’s and throwing away FBL units from micro helis just to add a vbar that costs more than the heli does, plus adding weight. You’re onto something here. I’m hopeful it’ll get even more refined going forward.

You can, but it is wasted potential. No telemetry that way. I strongly recommend using ExpressLRS.

Bin relativ neu im Bereich der Helis, hab einen M4 Max und einen M2 Evo. Wollte mal auf 'nem Koffer landen mit dem M2, leider runtergerutscht. Was ging kaputt? Der Koffer mit 2 dicken dellen, Heli war heile. Dann bin ich vor kurzem leider in ein Baum geflogen, Servoarm gebrochen, aber sonst tip top. Muss sagen, die Qualität des kleinen ist schon Mega 👍Sehr robust. Fehlt nur noch der M7, aber vielleicht sollte ich erstmal mit den kleineren üben...

Full rotorflight capability will be too much for a lot of people flying the m2 or a similar size Heli. Rotorflight is absolutely amazing but it's quite a tasking setup especially for novice pilots that don't know what they are looking for

@@Johnny31297 I'm sure it does for someone with years of experience. I have to start by figuring out what will replace my omp protocol zorro. that's a long ways from worrying about model set up. I'm guessing a TX16 ELRS? or does that need a sat rx too? I don't know. I have read the manual, and it just gets more confusing. how much of this do I need to know? for example pages 11-14 are a foreign language to me. electronics standardization and simplification should be keywords for any company that wants to keep the hobby alive. there are very few hobby shops with experienced staff to answer questions. the current standard assumes everyone has experience and readily available information only covers new changes. looking for "basics" gives you info on equipment that is obsolete or even no longer sold 🤣 there's quite a gap there. it seems anything not a drone (yuck) is like getting tossed in right into the deep end. I've rebuilt both my EVOs multiple times after getting a little sporty 😁 but I still have zero idea what's going on with the electronics. they are both still using the RTF set up simply because I gave up trying to change it, and learned to live with the dead spots. yes I know there are files for it, but after spending an extraordinary amount of time trying to get the zorro and pc to agree, I'd had enough. on the bright side, mechanically the OMP helis are a pleasure to work on. the older blade 230s and whatnot are no comparison. anyway, thanks for answering. I know you spend a lot of time online responding in forums etc. as well, and you're only one man 😉

@@DavidSmith-jj5pr If you don't care about telemetry, buy an Archer Plus RS Mini and use your Zorro. If you want telemetry, add an ELRS module to your Zorro and be done. If you know how to use a Zorro already, then there's nothing you have to worry about.

Hey Jonas, Seems to be a problem in the latest app (v1.7.2) in UK.. whereby you cannot select a f/w from the About screen (just shows error~) and if doing the update f/w link without selecting.. just updates to 2.11.13 .. not 2.11.21 ?? any idea on fix ?

@@m1keg Google Play doesn't allow for apps with file access to be published, so for now, we are integrating the firmware into the app until we can find a solution with Google. The update is under review and might or might not already be available. I recommend using iOS for the best experience, because weirdly enough, Apple places no such resteictions on us.

Hallo Jonas, ich habe soeben meinen neuen M2 EVO MK2 bekommen und nach dem Auspacken ist mir volgendes aufgefallen. Bei der neuen Taumelscheibe sind bei den neuen längeren Kugelköpfen die schwarzen Kunststoffarme der „Mittnehmer-Kipparmen“ eingeklippst , und die Gestänge der Blatthalter auf der kurzen Seite der Taumelscheibenkugeln 🧐🤨🧐 Sag mir ob ich da falsch liege, aber das bringt ja nichts im Flugverhalten , es müssten doch die Gestänge der Blatthalter auf der längeren Seite sein ??? Kann es sein das mein Modell bei der Fertigung falsch herum gefertigt wurde ? Wenn ja könnte es sein, dass sich dieser Fehler durch die Fertigung mehrerer Modelle hinzieht 🧐‼️⚠️ Lg Dietmar

Nein. Englisch war Ende 2023 die meistgesprochene Sprache der Welt. Deutsch ist nach dieser Statistik nur auf Platz 12. Es lohnt sich schlicht nicht, diesen Aufwand auf Deutsch zu treiben, wenn du dir einfach von KZbin automatisch Untertitel in deiner Sprache generieren lassen kannst. Abgesehen davon, wieso kommt diese Frage eigentlich immer nur von den Deutschen? Die Franzosen, Italiener, Spanier, Schweden, Polen etc stellen sich nicht so an. 🙃
