I love this stuff. All the uses, and lore of these knots. I have always had a fascination with cordage, knots, and knot tying, and was overjoyed when you started making new videos. Thanks ever so much for what you do, and for taking the time to do it. It is appreciated. I will say I do miss the 'chat', but get that you may not have time. Again thank you.

I have the time to chat, but there were many requests for this type of video. Don't worry that chat and banter will be back again in some videos. Thanks for taking the time to view and also make a comment, very much appreciated.
@@KnottingKnots 😅, I don't think my wife will be very amused by this idea. But I think it will come in handy in some other uses. 😉

are you thinking about getting a Falcon now?

@@KnottingKnots , I prefer a nice roast turkey but am willing to try falcon if you recommend it.

@@garycort7997 I wonder if it would taste odd, as it is a meat eater? Trying to think now if we eat anything that itself eats meat...............

We do. Crocodile tastes very well. It is available here in Switzerland in the "Outback Lodge" restaurants as part of the "Four meats"-plate.

I was right there with you Johnny boy...until you said 'we have now made a number 4' Math's was never my strong point but I could not see a number 4 at all!! :( I haven't got a Falcon, but I'll try it on my Stoat. Cheers.
@KnottingKnots3 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, it is how I see a 4, should have said "backwards 4". That is the trouble with YT, my mistakes are there forever. You really got a Stoat or just pulling my plonker? Good to see you back.
@shirleymental41893 жыл бұрын
@@KnottingKnots Ha ha, no, consider your plonker pulled. My daughter does have ferrets though. Maybe I'll try with them.

why do they call it a falconers knot? :-P
@KnottingKnots3 жыл бұрын
Because it can be tied with one hand, whilst the other one is wrestling with a Falcon 😉 😉 😉 It is really the action of tying this knot, rather than the name of the knot itself.
@spoede643 жыл бұрын
If you watch closely a falconer- video you will notice a rope on the falcons foot. As soon as the falcon landed on the glove it will be pinched by the thumb and the middlefinger, which blocks one hand completely. No, I'm not a falconer, but there is one nearby and sometimes I can see his training.
